I'm surprised nobody's started a thread yet. I've only had the game for two days...it's very...interesting.

This game really makes me realize how few female friends I have who own 3DSes =| I might have to start adding random StreetPass peoples...

I think this might be a fun game to trade codes with online, but I'm not sure if it also sends your last name along with your character. I'd think Nintendo would be opposed to that sort of thing (especially with the whole SwapNotes fiasco), but I have no confirmation as of yet.

I'm really digging this game. I picked it up on launch day after importing the DS version and I'm loving it. And it sucks that you can't really play multiplayer. I think the only MP in it is local and it's only sending Miis/items. I haven't yet found a way to play online.

How you do you play it? For me, I added all my friends at first, but then after a while started adding pretty much everyone I knew. It's more fun with more Miis to play with.

I've also got my friends into it too. My fiancee actually purchased a copy to play with her friends and my friends are always asking what wacky antics they're up to in the game. The weirdest one was when my 28 year old friend asked out our 65 year old boss, only to have my 23 year old friend butt in and start arguing over who gets her.

I tried picking it up on launch day, but nobody had it =| Fortunately, when I ended up getting it two days later, they had a "buy one, get one 50% off" sale.

I haven't added too many of my friends yet...I want to wait to see if any of them are getting the game, or if they want a demo...and failing either of those, I'd like to see if they want to set up their Miis' personality/voice/etc. But I won't see them until next Friday =|

I did add one guy from a StreetPass, just because he's funny, and I made up two people because there are hardly any girls on my island =/

I picked it up today since I finished my exams, I put in myself and my siblings, and some original characters I created (a total of 10 Miis). Some of the personalities came out really well, while others are a little off and trouble getting some of the ones to be friends that I want. I put some anime Miis into my 3DS so I plan to put them in the game tomorrow.

i was going to get it, but it didn't allow same-gender pairings. i did not want my mii dating a girl. it is supposed to be me!

When it came out on the 6th nobody had it so I had to wait a few days (Gamestop had it, but it was overpriced.) I love how your mii randomly rolls around on the floor and the dream where your mii has a string tied to them and he/she chases food around a table.

You could have a one where you it looks and sounds like a guy but just have the gender changed.

Must feel as strange as the time I accidentally flirted with the mage guy in Dragon Age 2, feels awkward when your avatar that is supposed to be like you in a game suddenly do something you find uncomfortable.

It's not you, though, it's just a look-a-like. It is not going to act exactly like you or do things you would/wouldn't do...you can kind of steer it a little bit, but not completely. There's no way, for instance, to decide what foods they like.

Some options:

* as said before, set your gender to "female". You'll be referred to with female pronouns, but other than that, there's no real difference. Not sure if females are more likely to be unhappy with male clothing, I haven't tested it.

* don't date anyone.
If you set your Mii as a child, they can't date.
If you set all females as relatives, your Mii won't date them.
If there are no females on the island, your Mii cannot date.
If your Mii tries to date anyone, you can tell them no (but then they'll be unhappy and you'll need to give them lots of gifts to cheer them up).

Oh my, I love this game.
To make things simple?
Chuggaaconroy is dating Christina Aguilera, my best friend is a punk rocker girl(though that's actually not too far off), and I am an antisocial geekbot(actually pretty unlike me).
My best guy friend also lost a rap battle against Shigesato Itoi.
This game is hilarious!
...Anyone else find Tomodachi Quest reminiscent of EarthBound?

I can't wait to get a copy, but I have to wait awhile...I'm trying to get a 3DSXL ( and subsequently give my sister my current 3DS ), a friend is selling me his 360 with Kinect, a Turtle Beach headset and all his physical games I want for $200 across 4 monthly payments of $50....plus upcoming must buys like Smash Bros, the GCn adapter, a new GCN controller, Pokemon Omega Ruby, Tales of Xillia 2, the amiibo figures and Hyrule Warriors ( and, you know, chipping in for the wallet rape from the oil companies come winter ) so IDK when I can finally get Tomodachi...

I only have one concern about Tomodachi Life once I do get it: if my Mii ends up marrying my best friend's Mii, I might get too depressed to continue playing it....I also plan on trying to make Miis of the girls from Pretty Little Liars, so we'll have to see how that works out...

You can set them to be related to you if you want...otherwise, you can wait until your Mii has feelings for them, and then tell them no, but then you have to cheer them up afterwards.

I already knew that, but thanks anyway. Honestly it only bothers me because I know it'll never happen in real life no matter how much I love her...maybe my Mii will get real lucky and end up with a PLL or a Charmed one :)

I love the game. In the game I've made my family, my brother's boyfriend, an old married couple I made (they're not married, actually, but I'm trying to steer them in that direction), another random Mii I made, James Rolfe (I just made him so I could have more Miis), Hank Hill and Bobby Hill. A total of 11 Miis. They also all have theme songs and catch phrases.

Just got this game two days ago and already have three marriages. This is a really great game and I recommend this for people who like the sims and animal crossing :D

Whoa there.

I can understand when you're excited about something, but you might want to watch how you post; making multiple topics about the same thing, not the best idea. Particularly if you want people to join you in conversation, as it tends to annoy a bit. Condense everything you want to say into just one topic, that's the best way to do it.

All of that being said.... I have to say, I dont really understand this game. From what I've seen of it, it doesnt really make much sense. Granted, there's plenty of games out there that dont make much sense, but this one definitely is doing that regardless.

What exactly is the point of the game? How does it work? Everything I've seen of it just showcases the weirdness, not really anything else.
