So I got Carmageddon Reincarnation on Steam a long time ago. Like a year ago or something. Anyway, who else here has played any Carmageddon game? What do you think of them? They are different to say the least
I did a video to talk about it.

Jeepers, that's a title I haven't heard in a long time. I remember it came out during the height of the "violence in video games" controversies and that's the only reason why I ever bought a copy for the PC. I'm not a fan of racing games, so its replay value was pretty low for me, but I'll admit I had some perverse pleasure in hitting those pedestrians. :P

It's been about 15 years since I last even thought about it; apparently there was a reboot which just came out last year? Interesting.

Loved the original game, didn't care so much for the sequels. The new game sounds awesome, but I'd rather just wait until it's finished before getting it (though I know buying it early helps support the development...).

I used to play the living crap out of Carma 1 and 2 all the time, to the point that it was basically one of my "special interests" for a while. I'm not sure which one I like better, because I like the darker, grittier style of 1, but I prefer the physics and powerups of 2.

Yeah, I think the graphics and the crappy looking 3D pedestrians were a big part of why I couldn't get into #2. Maybe if I ever beat the first game (and the Splat Pack) I'll give it a second chance.

I never tried the third game, I've only heard bad things about it.

The peds on Carma 1 are easier to splatter, and your wheels leave behind trails of blood after hitting them. :P I always thought that was something Carma 2 was really missing. The flamethrower pickup sort of makes up for it though, love seeing the words "barbecue bonus" pop up on my screen.
