I helped with Blue Mario Bros. 3 by designing the world maps, and applying the patch I wrote so you can start at any x position; I also did an assembly hack so that if you ride a boat, get off, go into a stage, and die, you return to where you disembarked rather than the last stage.

I didn't design the levels: that was lags_80 and Googie.

It's kinda neat to see it in action, though, like here:
