Does anyone know any good jrpg games for the ps3?
Well, The Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky was recently released onto the PS3 but I'd highly recommend The Legend of Heroes Tear of Vermillion for the PSP instead.

Tales of Graces is the best on PS3 imo although that's mostly on the strength of its battle system, which is atypical in that it's active and fast-paced. On which note there's also the HD re-release of Tales of Symphonia which brought a lot of people to the series and is quite good.
There aren't that many memorable JRPGs on the system to be honest, I didn't like FF13 and didn't try any of its numerous sequels. Actually the majority of good JRPGs are going to be classics on the store, things like Persona 3/4, Digital Devil Saga 1/2, FFX Remaster, and earlier PSX era stuff like Final Fantasy 9 (and 7 if you fancy), Grandia, uh... there are probably more I left out. Definitely more.
e: ^ I don't think Trails in the Sky FC has been released on PS3 in English, only PC and PSP. Which is a shame because it'd definitely be one of the best on the console if it was there.

:L shame, i remember watching the release trailer where the translating company were announcing a prize draw for a collectors edition of the PS3 version :L hoping it wasn't just a fan video now :L
also, haven't actually played trails in the sky yet >,.,> I loved Tear of vermillion and prophecy of the moonlight witch (especially how they tied in together) but sadly, songs of the ocean was a tiny bit of a let down for me and i am determined to only play trails in the sky once i've pushed myself to finish song of the ocean (of which, i need to actually start again from the beginning simply cause i don't remember what has happened in it >,.,>) I have to say though, Tear of Vermillion Is worth buying a PSP for if you love JRPGs and strong storylines that make you have the feels. Also, if you have ever watched Yu Gi Oh GX, then look out for the character Douglas in Tear of Vermillion. You'll never be able to read his text without reading them in Yu Gi Oh GX's Douglas's voice xD

If you like action rpgs you can try Tales of Xillia 1 and 2. They're really awesome games with a very fun combat system and a interesting story. I think they are the best JRPGs titles i've played on my PS3.
You can also try FF X HD if you liked it on PS2 (and go give a try if you haven't, it's an amazing game).
Some others that comes through my mind now:
FF XIII serie - If you're a FF fan it will probably piss you, but if you aren't you can have fun with it if you have the patience to pass the beginning of the games (specially the first one who is too much linear and story driven during almost the entire game).
White Knight Chronicles 1 and 2 - I bought this one about a month ago but Diablo 3 haven't allowed me to get into it yet. Still, it looks like a big and good game.
Atelier series - I don't like this one, but i have seen a lot of people (mainly jrpgs fans) who say it's an awesome franchise. You may want to give it a try.
Fairy Fencer F - This one came out last month here on the west. I don't have the time to test it yet but i surely will as soon as i can. It looks like a fun game.
Natural Doctrine - I think this one also came out last month and people say it's so hard that it's almost a tactical/RPG version of Dark Souls. Haven't played it yet, but i will when i have the time.
Well, i think there is more titles coming but those are the ones that i am surely that have come to the west and am more certainly that are good games.
I've not actually played any of the other games in the series, but I do know that Moonlight Witch/Tear/Songs is its own trilogy and Trails in the Sky is its own unrelated trilogy in an entirely different world, so if that's bothering you then it doesn't need to - but I'm sure you know that! They're releasing the translated Trails in the Sky (trying to avoid the acronym for obvious reasons) Second Chapter either late this year or early next year, too, so it would probably be a good time to play the first one.
Also to anybody reading this who likes JRPGs and has a PSP or pretty much any computer made in the last ten years, you should probably play Trails in the Sky right now.
Gotta ask, have you played Graces? I was actually quite disappointed by Xillia, the battle system was a huge step back compared to the other Symphonia-derived games and especially compared to the alternate battle system in Graces in my opinion. They both replaced the world map with field areas but Graces' managed it a lot better with the areas containing actual features and character. I guess I didn't really like the story of either enough to swing me, both casts were fairly likeable but probably Graces moreso.
Xillia 2 was way better battle-wise although everything else about it felt like a lazy sequel.

The only other game of the Tales of series that i played was Tales of the Abyss on the 3DS. Loved it!
So... I have never played Symphonia Chronicles or Graces F. Are they that good?
I could buy them after i play White Knight Chronicles.
If you liked Abyss then you'll definitely like Symphonia, they're very similar and roughly equally as good BUT don't bother with the sequel unless you finish literally every other Tales game and have nothing else to play.
Graces has a different battle system where each action uses a certain amount of 'CC' (chain capacity maybe? Can't remember) which recharges when idle/guarding or for other skilful actions. Generally you can do longer combos and because artes also use CC instead of SP your options in battle aren't so constrained. Besides that the normal combos are way way more diverse too.
There are more differences but it's really worth playing it or watching a video because it's difficult to explain. But definitely the best Tales game for me. Just watch out for the long prologue section and keep in mind that the battle system is limited until you finish that part.
Also play on moderate rather than normal, unless you're not great at fighting. Normal is too easy.
Oh, i understand.
The only reason i felt disappointed with Xillia was with its difficulty. I kept going through thinking that eventually the game would get harder but except for some boss fights i could easily just keep going without worrying too much about positioning, what skills to use/when to use them and things like that. My combos were basically composed by just "freaking awesome animation" arts and moves lol
About the other two: I just watched some videos of both.
Symphonia indeed reminded me a lot about Abyss, should i play it first?
I'm quite impressed with Graces F battles! I think i will play it as soon as i can!
Anything from Bandai Namco with "Tales of" in the title
Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
if you like tactical SRPGs, Disgaea 3, 4 & D2
if you like action RPGs, the Kingdom Hearts HD Remixes
and of course, plenty of PS1 & PS2 classics like the SNES era Final Fantasy games, the Suikoden games, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire 3 & 4 and Legend of Dragoon

Well, there is Persona 4 on PS3 via PS2 Classics, There's Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, that despite being a remake from the Gamecube is actually pretty good, There's Child of Light, that despite actually being french, is very similar to a JRPG, and there are the Disgaea, Agarest, and Hyperdimension Neptunia games. While they are all SRPGs, most people either love or hate them, so they are at least worth a look.
Persona 3 and 4 are MUST PLAYs. Play them via whatever method you have to resort to, even emulation. I haven't played the latest Tales game but I really didn't like Tales of Graces at all, it just didn't click with me and I hated the beginning portion with a blazing passion. The Dark Souls games are excellent too but I don't know if they fit your definition of a jrpg.
