Anyone else get it today? Haven't started it up yet. Think I remember hearing that you had to preorder to play as Ganondorf, Ghirahim, and Zant, which would suck. Think I'll put money down on Bayonetta 2 next week to make sure I don't miss anything.

Oh, I got it last week. I guess something good for my region is it came out a little earlier.
From what I understand some characters are unlocked from Adventure mode, which I believe includes some of the villains.

Personally my favourite character I have used so far has been Sheik, different combos change what the harp does with the standard heavy. She has felt quite fun and easy to use.

I got it, and I'm loving it so far. Seriously the best, most fun Warriors game I have ever played. And I'm already excited for the DLC, with the list of in the "season pass" info includes something called the Majora's Mask pack ( can't wait to find out what that one is ). My only complaint is that it only involves Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword...I wanted to play as Byrne from Spirit Tracks ( and Nabooru from Ocarina...maybe she'll at least be DLC ). Gonna be tough to enjoy once Smash Bros comes out & takes over my life lol

And when I pick up Smash Bros for 3DS, I too will be pre ordering Bayonetta 2....

Hm, is there any real differences between this and the usual Warriors games?

And I mean gameplay only, not the Zelda theme, which does nothing whatsoever for me. Havent had a go at a Warriors game in awhile, and while I'd much prefer a normal one over this, it's at least something, though I know little about it.

I haven't played any of the other games, so I don't really know what to expect from this one.

I wouldn't mind giving it a try. Hopefully there will be a demo, but Nintendo hasn't been very keen on releasing any for most of their games.

Not much of a difference as far as I can tell ( I'm a huge fan of both Zelda & Warriors franchises ). I mean, it does have very Zelda features like secondary weapons ( bombs, bow & arrow, hookshot, boomerang ) which need to be used to eliminate barriers as well as being used in combat ( you also get potions to heal or up certain drop rates for weapons & materials ) and you collect Rupees to spend on fusing weapons ( which isn't nearly as useful as in past Warriors games thus far ), unlocking "badges" ( character skills ) or leveling characters. And there are huge bosses to fight, which in true Zelda fashion involves using a secondary weapon to exploit a weakness in order to defeat the boss. Then there's the Gold Skultulas, the most annoying collectibles since Prototype's. It also has a smaller roster of playable characters than the Fist of the North Star editions.

Got able to use Ganondorf, man he is just a beast.

With it being my first Warriors game it took me a while to figure out each character's secret skills for what makes them really work. Link's spin works great at clearing areas. Impa is great at mid range. Sheik can activate different stat buffs with the harp. Midna gets stronger after crushing enemies for a little while. Lana is all about setting those explosions up and the staff is quite flexible. Darunia's role can pick groups of enemies. Zelda requires a charge for her stronger attacks. Ruto has some odd water meter. And Ganondorf, he hits hard, I seem to have been able to link up multiple X moves that are just brutal, and his combos charge up a metter that allows him to use another brutal move.

I had a hilarious moment when I decided to take on Cia as Zelda, link actually managed to be with me when I took her on yet he got killed (had to leave the battle) part way into the fight. Thought it was funny that Zelda was the one to save the day and Link gets a parade or something despite having to run away.

I'm glad I was able to get mine now. Gonna preorder Bayonetta 2 tomorrow and figure out which other game on my list of to-buy's to get first.

Finished the story mode, was pretty different and fun. Still suck at Adventure mode unfortunately.

Thanks to Adventure mode ( and the collectibles ie Heart Containers, Pieces of Heart and Skulltulas ), I had to get the strategy guide when I picked up Smash Bros...which means no Bayonetta 2 for me until December ( I have to pay off my Xbox One and the $100 Smash Bros for Wii U w/ GCN adapter & GCN controller )...

I seriously hate the ranking bs....and the "all attacks are devastating" missions....damn adventure mode.
