Anyone else get it today? Surprised it's taken me this long to find out Platinum used to be Clover. Didn't like Viewtiful Joe much but Okami was amazing. MGR wasn't that good either but that was more due to Kojima's awful writing and the promise of what that game could have been. After trying the B2 demo last week I had to get the first for 360 because I didn't want to wait to play it. Tons of fun so far. There's not enough femdom in video games as a whole really.

I loved the first. I enjoyed the Sega easter eggs and the combat. The second one has good reviews and looks to be just as fun as the first. It's too late now, but if you buy Bayonetta 2 you get Bayonetta 1 for free. When I get a Wii U eventually this will be one of the games I purchase for it.

Currently playing the first game first, playing Bayonetta while she is dressed as Peach. There are a number of things I don't think I noticed before or forgot. For one something about an Eggman.

Tried the demo of the second game, and it seems pretty intense. I would like to pick it up sometime (with the first game), but I'm not sure when I'll be able to.

Need to get Wonderful 101 also. I liked the demo a lot, and the game is pretty cheap, brand new.

I didn't like Viewtiful Joe. I tried playing it for a while, but it seemed fairly repetitive, and it held your hand with too much tutorial. Maybe, like the newer games, it takes a while to understand it and get into it.

Mad World, also seemed kind of repetitve, but kind of neat.

I bought this because of the rave reviews from just about everywhere but I just don't get it.

I can see that the campy design is great and sometimes it's funny (and kudos for having "Moon River" on the soundtrack) but the gameplay for me doesn't work.

You're thrown into a starting section with no tutorial but it doesn't seem to matter much what you are doing. This annoyed me from the get-go. There is a tutorial later but I found the combat unsatisfying, The sound effects and enemy reactions never give me the impression that my punches/kicks/shots are connecting. There are loads of moves and combos but are they necessary? It seems like button bashing will do just as well. A load of pretentious twaddle frequently interrupts the game but by frantically jabbing the touch screen I found a way to skip the cinematics.

The game is incredibly fast and I never feel fully in control of what's going on. It's never clear what parts of the screen are accessible or where the enemies are going to come from. I guess that you just have to memorise them. I understand you can aim for the highest rankings on each level but I've never liked that particular mechanic- it just seems like a way to extend the life of a short or otherwise limited game.

TL: DR- Manic but shallow. Unsatisfying.

Just my opinion of course. I am old and maybe it is just too fast for me. I'm not a great gamer by any stretch of the imagination but I can normally finish most titles. I don't think I will bother trying with Bayonetta 2.
