Sorry I missed this but Blizzard released the first trailer for the final expansion pack of Starcraft 2 at Blizzcon last year in November, entitled "oblivion". It contains some dialogue and scenes from Wings of Liberty and Heart of the Swarm but also a few new segments of cinema tics that I haven't seen before, likely from Legacy of the Void which hasn't been released yet:

What do you guys think of this trailer? Blizzard trailers always get me excited.

It'll be interesting to see what the response to this one is... the popularity of that game seems to have died down very dramatically in the face of lots of balance issues, Hearthstone, the moba genre, and so on. The probable high popularity of Blizzard's own upcoming moba, Heroes of the Storm, is likely to make a dent of it's own as well. Kinda funny how SC2 is now sorta competing with Blizzards own other games, but that's how it is.

I'm kinda neutral on it myself. I like strategy games, but I have a very hard time categorizing that one as a strategy game. It ends up just being a click-fest half the time.

I'm more interested in the story and single player than multiplayer myself. I mostly want to see how the story ends, though if I can find a friend to do multiplayer with, that would be fine.

By the way, I hear that they're planning to make Legacy of the Void standalone, so you don't need WoL and HotS to play it. I'm not sure how that's going to work because it probably still means that you won't have access to some WoL and HotS units in online multiplayer games, but anyway.

WHEN?
It's been about 3 months since that trailer was released. Kerrigan is my FAV!

Yes, I missed too. That's why I'm only posting about it now.

Regarding Kerrigan, I think it's interesting how they got people to sympathise with her. A lot of people on the Blizzard forums have criticised her portrayal in Heart of the Swarm, saying that her character was contradictory. What they seem to forget is that her character was always contradictory, even in the original Starcraft and Broodwar and nobody can tell me that the good Sarah Kerrigan from the first Terran campaign was the same character as the Queen of Blades from the Zerg Campaign and Broodwar. The way I interpret her character from Heart of the Swarm is that she now has a split personality originally created by her infestation in Starcraft 1. The only thing is that, while Amon was in control of her, the "good" personality was suppressed, leaving only the "bad" personality, which I call the "Queen of Blades" persona dominant. That is until she was purged of Amon's influence by the Xel'naga artefact at the end Wing's of Liberty, then the original Sarah Kerrigan re-emerged but the Queen of Blades was still in there and the Heart of the Swarm campaign tended to show both personas.

Personally, Zeratul is one of my favourite characters. Though I've heard that now they are making Artanis the player character of Legacy of the Void but when they first announced years ago that they were going to split Starcraft 2 into three parts, they initially said that it was going to be Zeratul.
