With today's NPD sales chart for the U.S., it has been confirmed that Majora's Mask 3D is the fastest selling Zelda title every.

It has broke 1.1M worldwide since mid February launch.
515k+ just for the U.S. for little over 2 weeks on sale, making it the best selling U.S. game for February.
New 3DS XL has sold the bulk of the 395k 3DSs sales for February (which is more than PS4 + Vita has sold last month).

One last, Monster Hunter fans rejoice Monster Hunter 4U has sold 290k+ reaching #10 charts barely missing #9 to The Order: 1886 (best selling launch for Monster Hunter in the U.S.)

I could never stand that game. "Ocarina of Time" is a classic, but "Majora's Mask" was frustrating. Reliving the same 3 days over and over, constantly running out of time before you even get one new task accomplished...just, no. I gave up after a couple of tries, and didn't really want to go back.

No surprise there.

Majora's Mask was my favorite TLoZ game until I played Skyward Sword. It perfected everything Ocarina of Time did right and Termina, the masks and the Four Giants were a lot more interesting than that old "save Zelda from Ganon" plot we have seen since 1986.

I still find the truth behind the Deku Mask incredibly depressing for a Nintendo game, though. I wish there was a way to help the Deku Butler.

Same here.

Granted, I dont really like most of the Zelda series to begin with, but... I think this game is the specific point where the dislike started. As opposed to the "meh, it's okay I guess" opinion I had of Ocarina.

It always felt more like a point-and-click adventure game in it's structure than anything else (a genre I cannot stand). Just.... bleh. I dont understand the sudden hype over it. Though that's not saying much, really.

My two main reasons to buy a 3DS was the OoT remake and the hope that this one would come out someday. I love the "weird", "sad" and "apocalyptic" feeling of this game, for me it is the main difference from OoT.
The only thing that I think that is worst than OoT (but still far from bad) is the dungeons. Even knowing that the game have a lot to do outside of them I still wanted to have more than just four. I prefer the boss battles from OoT too.
This text from kotaku says a lot about the game that I agree about:

I thought Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were the two best games I ever played. I still have them for my N64, so frankly I don't need the remakes for the 3DS.

Gosh, I love Majora's Mas so much. I think the 3 day factor makes the game all the more exciting. I like to challenge myself to see if I can finish each of the four areas in the limited 3 day (2:15 hour) time span. The 3DS version is worth getting, the graphics are much better and they even redid some of the boss fights to make them more exciting.

wow. how far have you gotten with that challenge? the first time playing that game i must have gone through some 50 something 3 day cycles, even for 100% completion that seems excessive.

poor bloke. that reminds me of the deku shrine....THAT BLASTED DEKU SHIRNE that took me way way more times than needed!! ! i tried it with deku link a d failed time after time, then i used the bunny hood on link and best it on my 2nd or 3rd try. probably 2nd. i was sitting there thinking that you had to be deku link. he compares the race to the ones he had with his son, however that would be a way to help the grieving process...

i might get it, if i still had a 3ds. (it was given to me, i had to return it few months later for whatever reason and she then gave it to someone else who pawned it off for 12 bucks)

but nah, this alone isn't going to make me buy one.

the dungeons were ok in quality but lacking in quantity (fuller mini-dungeons?). the boss fights were rather inferior to that of ocarina with the exception of odolwa. twinmold was just, ugh.

I've always slowed down the time to get everything done. After I would do a task, I would go back to Day one and start another task. I am hoping to get this game real soon and I am hoping it will be one of the Platinum titles from Club Nintendo when they do selected games for Gold or Platinum next month. Last time I only made it to Gold and I had all the games already they offered except Kid Icarus so I got that one. This time I will get to select any title than Gold only.

Usually I can beat the swamp and woodfall temple pretty easily in 3 days. The other areas I have to do the mini tasks and then go back and do the dungeons. What really frustrated me was that one time I had 12 out of the 15 stray fairies at the snowhead temple, but I ran out of time so I had to start over. The deku shrine was a huuuge pain! Luckily they made it much easier in the 3ds version, succeeded on the first try. Oh, and the Twinmold fight in the remake is epic! :D

You do realize that you have to play the Song of Time backwards to slow down time, right? That way you'll have more time to gets things accomplished without worrying about running out of time.
