does anyone own a wii u? I do and i love it! sure its not as powerful as the xbox one or ps4, but it does have awesome games like Monster hunter 3, and Mario. The main reason why i bought it was because of mario. Mario brings me back to my earlier childhood in the mid 90s and i wish i could back to them. I do own a PS4 but i do find myself using the wii u a LOT MORE than the ps4.

I have one. I use the PC for probably 95% of the gaming that I do, but for consoles, I have a Wii U and a PS4.

With the Wii U I have the new Smash Bros, which is why I bought the thing, Monster Hunter 3U, which sadly is not Monster Hunter 4 (argh), Mario Kart, and Mario 3D World. Me not liking the consoles very much though means that that's pretty much literally every game on that console I could possibly want; no interest in the rest of the selection at all, except for some of the other Mario platformers. I do have a bunch of random VC stuff on there too, but those obviously arent exactly "recent" games, heh.

Wheras with the PS4 I bought it only for LittleBigPlanet 3, which is the only game I have for it, with no plans to buy further games for.... probably a long time.

I have one and LOVE it. So far I own Mario Kart 8, Nintendo Land, Hyrule Warriors, Wonderful 101, Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, LEGO City Undercover, Wii Fit U and Dr Luigi plus Virtual Console games F-Zero, StarTropics 2 and my all time favorite game EarthBound. When I get paid next month, in addition to picking up 3 new games for my New 3DS XL ( Codename STEAM, Xenoblade 3D and Fossil Fighters Frontier ) I'll be pre ordering Splatoon...and I cannot wait to get my hands on Yoshi's Wooly World, Xenobalde Chronicles X, Zelda, Star Fox and hopefully E3 will see new Animal Crossing, F-Zero and Metroid games announced...also hoping for a Skylanders-esque game using Amiibo

I have, however, spent more time with my 360 and X1 though....I'd be happier with my Wii U if trying to get trophies & CDs in Smash Bros didn't make me suicidal. I love Nintendo, but it kills my desire to play when everything requires god tier luck & skills just to progress or unlock collectibles in a game...

I have a PS4 and a Wii U too and enjoy the Wii U waaay more than the PS4. Actually, two weeks after buying it (the PS4) I lent it to my brother and only took it back a month later.
The Wii U on the other hand entertains me almost everyday. Bayonetta 2, Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros... I still need to buy Hyrule Warriors and there is also the Wii games (I'm playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles right now).
Not to mention the three big (known) games that will come out this year: Xenoblade, Zelda and Starfox, which is more than what I want on the entire PS4+Xone game library.

I don't have one yet, but I have been thinking about getting one. The Wii was a huge disappointment for me and for the first year or so of the Wii U, it looked terrible, but now that it's getting some games, it's made it to my list. I already have an Xbox One and PS4 and will probably get a PC first, however.

I love my Wii U.
Had it since launch.

I made a huge amount off of the DDP from buying loads of VC titles.

The first year had a lackluster first party release, which Nintendo said 3rd parties asked Nintendo to delay their major titles allowing 3rd parties to sell their games without any competition (same thing happened on 3DS).

I own ~18 retail titles (most I got at steep discount).

I am waiting for the May release of Splatoon...

Too many games, not enough time and money...

Every other game I want, thankfully comes to Steam now.

3DS + Wii U + PC = all the games I want.

On one finally note, Wii U is neck and neck with Xbox One in market share and attach rate, while PS4 is behind both in attach rate.

Does that mean the WiiU is doing much, much worse than everyone says, or that the X-bone is selling surprisingly well?

More like Xbox One is selling well in North America, UK, Australia, and a few other countries.
Xbox One sells like crap in mainland EU, Russia, China (yeah it bombed in China), Japan, Korea, essentially non Anlgo-American culture countries.

Wii U sales are growing each month in North America, but are being outsold 2:1 by Xbox One in North America and are dead in UK (though this the norm in the UK).
Wii U does significantly better than Xbox One in mainland EU, Japan, Korea, Russia etc...

Thus balancing out worldwide.

Though Microsoft doesn't give Xbox One numbers, they only give shipped Xbox Family numbers.
We don't know how many they've actually sold.
We know Microsoft has shipped ~11M Xbox Ones worldwide

Nintendo normally gives sold to consumer numbers.
We know Nintendo has shipped over 10M+ Wii U's globally.

Both have roughly sold ~9M globally.

I have a Wii U, but I don't play it anymore due to academic reasons. More like there's not pretty much fun games outside.

That just blows my mind. I could not name you one single person who owns, or wants to own, an Xbone (even people I have never met). I hardly ever even hear the thing mentioned.

I know right.

Though they did sell over 1.5M over Christmas in the U.S. And UK. They sold 276k in the US for February.
It's also edging out the PS4 in the UK each week in sales and will soon pass PS4 in market share their.
P
Outside of the U.S. And UK they are dead last!

Someone is buying them...

it seems most people have more fun playing the wii u than xbox1 or ps4. I admit the wii u is not as powerful as the xbox one or ps4, but i still do play the wii u considerable amount than the ps4 i have. Nintendo is about innovation, while sony+Microsoft are always about the most powerful console.

I think the ps4 will pick up once more titles that people are interested in (eg: Final Fantasy) come out for it. This and next year are looking pretty good for it, with Final Fantasy 15, Bloodborne, and Silent Hills. Personally I can't imagine ever buying an xbone but then again I don't think I fit the demographic.

I agree though that the wii-u looks amazing right now and I really want one, if just for Bayonetta 2 and Wind Waker HD. I know whatever mainline Mario and Zelda game come out for it will be big system sellers too, I've never played a (mainline) game of those two series I didn't enjoy a lot. Mario Galaxy was awesome.

I have one. I transferred all my Wii data to it too. I got a 32 GB. I just downloaded a new game on there from the eshop ad it was a new puzzle game that just came out. It's similar to the one I play on Monster Manor. I also just got Kirby's Rainbow Curse. I still don't have many WiiU games for it but that is the way it is for new game systems. I can get some for cheaper on Gamefly when it allows you to keep the game. That is where I got the Kirby game from. I am looking forward to getting Mario Party 10 and trying it.

I don't have the PS4 or the new Xbox. I am not interested. I have to like any of the games for it first and be interested in any of the games before I get the system.

Um PS4 is closing in on 25 million consoles sold worldwide which is more than twice the sales of Wii U and Xbox One combined.

No amount of games will cause PS4 to increase drastically in sales, since it is already at max sales at the current price point.

PS4 sales have no where to go but down on a monthly basis soon...
