What made me pause FF12 for two weeks? Does memory suffer?

For some reason I did... I watched loads of really powerful anime in between, including Wolf's Rain, which had quite an impact on me... but I shouldn't have completely not continued it for two weeks, right? I'm trying to continue it now but I fear I might forget the minute details...
