I love this game so much. Yeah, it's old, but it's good! I like Selphie the most, then Zell and Squall. And that's my party right there! Not in that order though. I rarely use Rinoa, Irvine or Quistis. I'm at the Tomb of the Unknown King at the moment.

FFVIII is the best of FF series :D.

I clear almost all the game, I was at Ultimecia's Castle, but my PS1 died, and when I got my PS2 my brother had broken my memory card . I have to start again :x.

RedMage, I think you should use the other characters more frequently, because they also need experience points.

FF8 isn´t my favourite, it´s only the 4th best FF IMO. There´s really no need to get experience in that game since the monsters get levels at about the same speed as you do. But drawing spells and attaching them to statuses is really important. Selphie´s The end limit is really strong, it kills any enemy with one hit. Be sure to use that if you use selphie.

That reminds me when I got to the end of FF9, I just beat Hades and quit the game. Then for some reason all my saves were deleted when I played it the next time. :( Man was I pissed of then! But I wanted to see the ending so badly that I started the game over and didn´t stop playing until I saw the ending, which by the way is awesome.

I actually do prefer FFIX to FFVIII, though there are many who'd disagree with me....

I prefer it too, I didn´t like the GF system in FF8 too much. I hate it how you needed to spend forever just drawing spells before going to new areas. FF9´s system is much more fun since there´s no need to grind in it. I also prefer the Yoshitaka´s old-school fantasy characters over Tetsuya´s realistic characters.

I recently replayed in on PC - its scary how easily you can max out the characters. I do feel the junctioning is slightly broken - since with all the refine abilities you can get some pretty hardcore spells.
A tip - junction 100 death to your characters Status damage - the only issue then is if you get confused and hit your own.

There´s an easy way to get about 4000 HP on one character after you get siren. If I remember right you have to learn the ability from siren that allows you to make curagas out of tents. Then buy lots of tents and transform them until you have 100 curagas on one character. Just attach them to a character´s HP and voila! You´re almost invicible until the third CD.

I prefer FF7 to FF8. Not sure if I like FF9 better than FF8. They're all great games, anyway. I'd play them again, but I lost my PS1 memory card awhile ago.

I just started playing FF8 again after I conned it out of my brother...hee hee hee.

I have also downloaded a few of the FF themes, including the FF8 Boss theme and the FF7 battle and boss theme (I love the boss theme from FF7 it is so cool and so really awesome).

But FF7 is my first and my favourite. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Mum's on ebay looking for one.

:):):)

You haven't played them, have you? I suppose VII and IX has more sidequests, and IX would appeal to those nostalgic for previous FFs, as it contains many references. VIII is good with the Junctions and GFs, as well as inventive Limit Breaks...

Saxen, the reason I have them on my team is because they're low levels. Well, Squall is level 13 I think as is Zell. Selphie is level 9, and I'm trying to get her to level 13 like the others.

Mum bought me FFVII!! !! !! !! !!

I think FF7 is one of the most original FF games I've played. But I adore 8 and 9. Not so fond of 10.

I think they should stick to the text boxes instead of actual voices, that's what I enjoyed about the games originally. Don't ask why.

I agree. Then we can imagine what they'd sound like, instead of actually knowing.
