Grand Theft Auto V - Like or Dislike?

So while GTA V was on sale, I brought it and so far it seems pretty good, gameplay wise it seems the best in the series behind GTA SA but I still think GTA VC wins out on story and setting. I have only played 3-4 hours so far but the story is meh.

They did seem to fix a few things I exploited in earlier versions though. For example, one of the first things I did in GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas was find a cop when I was starting unarmed and assault them for their weapons. Usually could get a good amount of handgun ammo this way and about 10-15 shotgun shells and could pretty easily lose the cops. I tried this in GTA V and it seems much much harder to pull off to the point that its impossible, Cops usually blow you away with shotguns at only two stars. Its not worth it anymore, you can get weapons much easier from other means.

You guys thoughts on this game?

I still need to beat IV...I made the mistake of buying the PC version when it was on sale =|

Why was that a mistake?

Its not the best port but runs on ok on decent hardware.

Good decent game. The multiplayer is fun but it's riddled with modders and scripters and singleplayer had a lot of content cut because R* is greedy.

Also shark cards.

Ehhhhh...Idunno, it's pretty broken. Even if you have a great video card and/or drop the graphics to their lowest setting, it will still chug along at about 12 FPS because their terrible programming causes the CPU to bottleneck the whole thing.

I should have learned my lesson from some of their other PC ports, but I figured "Eh, this game's been out for years, I'm sure patches have fixed it by now."
