No need to be embarrassed! I totally forgot that you can cook in Minecraft.

Fantasy Life and Rune factory
Harvest Moon (although more frustrating there)

Hmm... I might have forgotten something but I think they're actually the only games where I have cooked anything...

Would Dragon Age count?

You can mix herbs and make potions and poisons. That would be my favorite, that and Skyrim, you can actually cook in that game to create items that will heal you more. I don't know why my mind is going this far back but The Legend of Kyrandia: The Hand of Fate on DOS comes to mind cause you could cook things up in a pot and use the final product to solve puzzles and have various effects.

^ In all other games I just end up collecting food. What's Dragon Age like?

What's your favourite Rune Factory game, Squirtlegirl? I like 4 best.

I am going to do this honest trailers style from youtube, hope you enjoy :D

Welcome to a game titled Dragon Age, that only features three actual dragons to slay and one of those is technically a demon. Enter the world of Ferelden, a place thats totally not Middle Earth inhabited by dwarves, elves and corrupt men kind of like Middle Earth. Play the game with six different background stories based on the charecter you play as, all of which has very little impact on the actual game. Experience 3/4 talking and 1/4 action the entire game as you fight an evil Blight with Darkspawn ceatures that are totally not orcs from Lord of the Rings. Met up with other characters that can approve or disapprove of your actions while 90% of them don't care what you do but Morrigan always disagrees. Flunk out of school as you spend 1000s of hours lost in a game that seems to go on forever while amassing an awesome army your never get to control. Spend all you money on exciting DLC content and get jealous at those that simply waited and brought the ultimate version for $10.

Starring
How to Train your Dragon (Archdemon)
Orcs (Darkspawn)
An idiot (Alistair)
Talking
More Talking
DLC

Anyway a more realistic review can be found here, but eveything I said is true

Skitty, I can't speak for Frontier and Tides of destiny as I haven't played them, but I really loved all 4 DS/ 3DS Rune Factory games. All 4 are among my absolute fave games. I do have a particular affinity for the second game though.

^I like the Tides of Destiny soundtrack, but I've only played 3 and 4. My favourite characters are Raven from RF3, and Arthur, Clorica, Dylas, and Amber from RF4. What about you, Squirtlegirl? I especially like giving food to the characters, as it helps clean out my fridge on top of boosting their friendship!

dcj: Ha ha! I like the Honest Trailers [especially the one for Skyrim].

It would have to be The Sims games. In the Sims 4 I can now make ice cream, and herbal remedies with the wild plants that grow around the campsite with the Outdoor Retreat Expansion. I've never played the Cooking Mama games although some of the stuff I've seen is pretty funny. Like one of the beginner dishes is a just bowl of cereal. You just put cereal in a bowl, add milk, that's it. And then Mama says it's even better than her own "cooking". Lol you're better at making a bowl of cereal than your cooking instructor. Of course later on in the game you're trying to make all kinds of fancy gourmet stuff.

I also enjoyed learning to cook in the Harvest Moon Mineral Town games, especially if I end up winning the yearly cooking contest. In "Back To Nature" for the PS1 I would win by making either Relaxation Tea or Chocolate cake with lots of optional ingredients. In the GBA games, however, they have different food themes each year. And there's no actual prize for winning but it boosts your morale with the villagers in general.

In Harvest Moon Magical Melody, I could have my character prepare blow fish, but there would be a chance it was still poisonous, and then she'd get sick and end up in the hospital. Risky. But nowhere as bad as if you ate poisonous blow fish in real life! :skull:

Oh, and how can I forget Parappa the Rapper? Baking a SEAFOOD cake to a really catchy rap tune was strange but hilarious enough, but then the next stage after Parappa eats most of the cake himself and the gastrointestinal adventure he has afterwards, which is sad but hilarious.

I haven't heard it the soundtrack, I'll have to look it up.
RF1: I don't have any real faves in this one save for Raguna, but I like how taken Mist is with turnips and Sharron’s obsession with the ruins, and that Tabatha require you to catch and befriend monsters in order to marry her.
RF 2: Mana, Dorothy, Jake and Cecilia and the main character himself.
RF 3: Raven is my RF3 fave too! :D I like that Pia is a mermaid. I really liked the monster story and that the main character was half monster.
RF 4: Ventuswill! and Amber - mostly because she looks like a fairy! 8)
If I had to pick two, I’d say the protagonist from 2 and Raven.
I really like how at least one from previous games has cameos in the sequels.
