Fighting does seem a lot harder compared to previous Grand Theft Auto titles. I find I survive better sometimes using the first person view in some situations. Such as facing a few enemies, I take less damage in first person cause my accuracy is increased and I take them out quicker. However, when facing several enemies I find third person plus cover a better option. Its harder to use cover in the first person view mode in my opinion.

So far I am about 20% in the game and while I haven't died in excess, I am always very low on health after shootouts or any confrontation including guns. I probably suck too cause I use the characters special abilities a lot to survive in these situations. Trevor's ability is best for shoot outs and helps a lot, it seems I have even regained some health using his ability and I am not sure how.

Trevor and Michael are best in a gun fight, Franklin is the hardest one to survive as in my opinion as he can't slow down time in a gun fight and if someone gets close to me with a shotgun its over before it started. I have learned that shotguns are nasty in this game, I would rather be shot with an assault rifle in the game.

The game seems unforgiving with regards to being shot compared to to say San Andreas.

i was playing tonight and was having so much fun that i decided to record some of it.
mrs thornhill took issue with a paramedic before the clip begins, and is still rather huffy.

I can't play online cause 10 year olds that downloaded an application that cheats for them which is accomplished with little effort that the general population views as actual hacking for some reason.

i have never played online. i finished the single player game and now i am experimenting with the game in a free roam way. i have a mod with which i can choose characters that appeared as props in the game, and play as them.
i also have an invincible mod which i employed in the clip as mrs thornton usually goes down after being punched only once.
anyway, the clip is not a showcase of skill, it is just an imaginary scenario where a "sweet" old lady sizes up to, and brawls with paramedics who arrive to tend to her earlier paramedic casualties. it is hilarious to me.

I haven't upgraded to PS4 yet, so I'm still playing the PS3 version.

Which still holds up even after 2 years, IMO.

it's probably the funnest game i don't own. never have done the campaign proper and usually just much around. play the pc version at my cousin's and have played the Xbox version with a friend (or her brother, anyway).

the minigun and rocketlauncher are probably the most fun pieces of weaponry i have ever used in a videogame.

I have beaten every GTA since GTA 3. I find these games exceptionally easy for some reason. GTA 5 was one of the easiest ones I have played.

I don't understand how people can be getting stuck in the early levels of the game.

Online is a lot of fun. I usually go into free mode and steal an F16 and just shoot down anybody else who tries to fly in addition to trying to shoot up anybody driving around.

You should play the original top-down games then, they get pretty frustrating >_<

I've had several points in GTA2 where I was tempted to just give up and cheat, but I'm really trying not to. But on the other hand...I certainly can't be blamed for the fact that the secret hidden cars respawn every time you load up the game, and will net you more than enough cash to go to the church and save your progress...

Yes, and this was 1 of the hardest games I've ever played. Flying is a huge pain in the arse.

I have all the GTA games except V. I mostly played IV thou. Trying to get 100% completion & the achievements is a real pain. I haven't played V yet but I don't really see a reason to buy it now sense I could play the others instead. I'll get it when i see a real good deal for it.
