Please, no haters. I want to try and make a clan for people with autism, ADHD, mental illness or anyone who struggles to find friends.

I'm thinking of calling it Neuroverse.

Personally, I don't like raiding with people who always complain about other players. I'm probably not the best as I'm kind of dyspraxic and find it hard to press run when I'm needed to run. I've even managed to bring up the menu at crucial moments. I've also got a poor sense of direction and can get lost in big maps.

This clan will be for Xbox One I'm afraid. I haven't bought a PS4 yet.

The reason I'm making this clan is because I hide my autism or any other condition I'm living with from other gamers. They use 'autistic' as an insult and really don't much about it. I even keep my gender a secret. There are some parts of the gaming community where I don't feel welcome at all.

So, let me know if you're interested in joining and I'll make one on Bungie.net.

Again, any hateful comments about Destiny will be ignored.

I have not played for a while now, since I have not had the guts to join a clan there was only so much I could do before many others did the raids. I was playing a Hunter Bladedancer, and my preferred weapon was a hand canon.

I wouldnt worry about that bit too much to be honest. It's not that they dont know much about it; it's that they literally dont know ANYTHING about it. As in, they dont actually know what it is. It's just the popular word to use on the internet right now, so it's repeated over and over and over because people are too bloody stupid to come up with something new.

I typically just point out what my condition is if I see the need, and if someone doesnt like it, they can shove off, really. Chances are someone like that is A: not very bright, and B: would be a detriment in a group anyway.

Besides, even if it wasnt for that, alot of them would STILL throw insults your way even if they have to make something up. They do this to EVERYONE. In any multiplayer game. It's best to just ignore the stupid twits that say things like that.

I dont play the game myself (cannot use a controller for an FPS, just cant, need a mouse), but I thought I'd chime in on that bit anyway since that one's often a sticking point when it comes to online gaming.

My oldest son is highly functioning autistic and somewhat of a video game savant. They seems to help him. I would love to be able to find him some friends to play Destiny with! Gamer tag is the same as my user name here.

I am playing Destiny, but I do not have enough gaming friends to be able to play the 3 or more Raids in Destiny, I am hoping we can form a group of gamers with Aspergers who can play the Raids together.

I know this is a really old thread but I was wondering what ever became of this group. Since the Xbox club feature launched I have created a club called Guardians of the Spectrum. I have found it easier to get members for a club since people can be in multiple clubs. We currently have 27 members. I would love to know what became of this group and feel free to request an invite on Xbox live.
