Mine would have to be Reznor from Super Mario World.

I will avoid the dirty joke...... but not that bad as the final boss. The first round is 6 of your characters, 2 teams of 3, fighting him. Then your main party gets to fight his "true" form, and he has a wicked attack where he hurls Meteor at you and it takes between 50-90% of your health. The battle can take a good while, but its not ridiculously hard like boss fights in Xenogears. The Miang fight in Xenogears is my 2nd favorite boss battle, only because it took me MONTHS to finally be able to beat her stupid gear!

I'm so glad I haven't played FF7... Let me guess... He has over 9999 HP?

EDIT: Shoot, can't get a pic of Reznor.

I don't quite understand how someone who's SN is RedMage hasn't played FFVII.... I thought you hated Nintendo, not Sony.

Hmmm, Dr. Robotnik/Eggman.

Or maybe the bosses in Deep Duck Trouble starring Donald Duck.

Or Janken the Great, Stonehead, Scissorshead and Paperhead from Alex Kidd in Miracle World.

Nah, Dr. Robotnik/Eggman.

...It takes several summons of knights of round to defeat his final form. (knights of round deals between 4000-9999 damage for every knight, and there are 13 of them, dealing up to a total of 129987 damage)

Twinrova from Zelda: OoT

Dark Link from Zelda: OoT

Ganondorf from Zelda: OoT

Grunty from Banjo-kazooie

Pity most of those you can't beeat over and over again unless you keep beating the game.

It's hard to make up my mind on this subject, so many classic battles...

Sephiroth was classic... and the music was a remix of orff's O fortuna (not Bib [stupid Star Wars refrence, sorry])

Psycho Mantis, from Metal Gear Solid was really unique

I dunno if he counts but M. Bison was sooo strong in SF 2

Who could forget Lavos at the end of time in Chrono Trigger?

but the most epic and evil boss ever in my book is the megalomaniacal Kefka from FF3/6

Actually, it was apparently a mix of that and Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze. Nobuo Uematsu wanted the intro to sound a bit like Haze...

Hmm... bosses....

Most bizarre looking: Neo-Exdeath (Final Fantasy V), The God (Silent Hill 3), Salazar and Lord Saddler (Resident Evil 4), the G-Type William Birkin (Resident Evil 2)

Most open ended: The End (Metal Gear Solid 3)

Funniest: Zarok (Medievil. Listen to the comments he makes just before he fights...), Faustus (Blood Omen 2. When you turn on the ovens under him, he says "What's this?" Then screams in a humorous manner)

I named myself after Red Mage from 8-Bit Theatre. Also, I do NOT hate Nintendo.

A lot of bosses in Zelda 64 I found memorable, too many to list.

Many in the Metal Gear Solid series were pretty interesting, from both a gameplay and character development perspective. Although the ones in MGS3 were a bit lacking in the latter aspect. My favourites were Raven, Psycho Mantis and The Boss.

Every enemy in Shadow of the Colossus could be considered a 'boss', and save for the final one and a couple of similarly designed ones I found them supremely well-designed.

I have soft spot for the comic relief bosses of Final Fantasy as well, like Ultros, Gilgamesh and the LeBlanc trio.
