Wipeout. It's an old Wii game that's fun to play with friends because the characters have a somewhat ragdoll physics quality to them and every failure is replayed. If you're with certain types of people, this can lead to good-natured roasting. I would say Undertale but it's far from underrated now. The fandom kind of exploded.

Diddy Kong Racing was a right laugh, I loved driving the wrong way and looking at everything going on around the tracks, the bloody planes were hilarious to attempt to fly straight, I really was grateful for the choice of different vehicles even if they weren't appropriate for some levels, I picked the most comedic option and tried to win in spite of it.

I feel that Skies of Arcadia and Tales of Symphonia for the gamecube are two criminally under-rated RPG's, I dissolved into each of their worlds and the battle systems are both killer in their unique ways.

Fun game, but is it really underrated? I always hear it's one of the best action games on the GBA.

^I live under a rock, so it seemed to me that a lot of people ignore ZM in favour of Super Metroid.

Nier on PS3 and 360. Didn't get much attention, but hopefully that'll change since Platinum Games is making the sequel.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, also on PS3 and 360. Sometimes an underrated game is tragic. In this case, it's a crime. It's one of the best open world action RPGs I've ever played, maybe THE best, but so few people bought it that the development team went bankrupt. Also, the storyline was written by R.A. Salvatore, which is awesome.

Being a fan of point-and-click adventure games, nearly any game I can pick from the genre could be considered underrated, especially newer titles like the 'Deponia' series, the 'Blackwell' series, 'Gemini Rue' and 'Time Gentlemen, Please!' to older '90s titles like 'Sanitarium', 'The Dig', 'Discworld Noir' and 'Simon the Sorcerer'. I could make a Top 50 list of my favorite point-and-clickers excluding the more popular franchises like 'King's Quest' and they'd all be underrated classics.

@Skibz888, have you played Fran Bow? I don't play many point and click games, but that one was pretty good.

I have! I forgot about that one. It has some flaws in both story and puzzles, but it's a pretty solid little indie adventure.

I so wanted to post about Kingdom of Amalur as soon as I saw the thread title. But you beat me too it, best PS3 game in my opinion and definitely one of the best action RPGs ever.

I always thought skies of arcadia was under-rated, a very spirited rpg experience concerning cloud hopping pirates.
edit- I realized I already said that in the thread but didn't remember lol.

I see Simpsons Hit And Run mentioned, that is a game I found amusing, the port level was my favourite. There's something satisfying about zooming around mindlessly past token landmarks, there wasn't much depth or subtlety but just enough to believe you were actually exploring springfield.
