I used to play Warhammer 40k with a few friends and their friends, then I moved, and where I am there's no Warhammer 40k scene here :(

But I'd still like to collect, and paint them, in fact, I'm planning on getting some more Models near the end of the Month

I'm also going to paint/assemble the rest of my Models so I have something else to do w/ my time

If you play Warhammer 40k or other; feel free to post your Models and Conversions and the like!

I intended to get into WH40K at one point - I even bought a couple of the miniature packs - but when my mother didn't allow me to spend my money on more of them, it ended quickly. Haven't even thought about it since. My interest in it has honestly seen a steady decline anyway, partly because it's a fairly expensive hobby to invest in.

RIP

Yeah it can be; my most expensive model is my Stormfang Gunship which was ~$97 CAD

40K is definitely a massive cash sinkhole. I do love the lore of the universe though. After getting several models and not finding anyone to play with I've relegated myself to the books.

Yeah; I moved recently and no one here plays afaik, but they're still great to collect and paint and such

Let's see on the minatures front I've played:

40K(3rd-5th)-Dark Angels and Tau
Fantasy(can't remember the editions)-Dark Elves
HeavyGear Blitz-Port Arthur Korp/NuCoal
Infinity-Military Orders and Japanese Sectorial
BattleTech-Diamond Shark/Sea Fox and Federated Suns
X-Wing-Imperial
Star Trek Attack Wing-Romulan

I've given them all up for various reasons (90% being funding 10% not liking how the game changed over editions), but I've still got bits and pieces of my collections scattered about

ah; yeah 8th is a great time to come back to 40k; I've only played 7th some, roughly half a dozen or so times over the past couple years and that was good, still have my Rulebook for it as well

GW made the rules for 8th Edition free on their site (just a quick run-down akin to D&D 5th Editions Basic Rules for the DM & Player)
