Some colored lights can cause people to feel sleepy. Also if the brightness on your screen is too high, it can cause your eyes to be strained. Then again, that brings me to another possible factor: it's winter, so it's darker outside. Are you playing in a dark room with a bright screen? Could it be that you're not getting as much sleep as you once were for whatever reason as well?

I think it could be a combo of all those things. It's dark, gloomy, and wet because it's winter and I'm not sleeping as good as I used to anymore. Also I'm used to playing in a dark bedroom with the lights off and the curtains drawn.

First of all, you're only 28.

Secondly, the whole "too old for X" thing is usually just a myth spread by overly serious people who have a warped idea of what "maturity" means. It's worth keeping in mind.

That being said, if you find yourself dozing off at odd times, there's ALOT of causes. The whole "dark room" bit doesnt help. That's really bad for your eyes anyway, to be staring at a bright screen in a dark room.

Another thing: Drink more water. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get dehydrated without ever noticing, and just how much effect this has. Mood, energy... it affects everything. Getting tired easy, drink alot more water.

Also, get up and move some. If you're sitting too much, or stuck in the same room for too long, that can bring that on.

On a side note, I myself am 37. Gaming remains my main hobby, and I'm better at them now than I ever was.

I was born in the late 1950s. I still play FPS games (mostly Doom wads) pretty much every day. :D

If I'm not too old for them then maybe I just don't have the same interest in them anymore that I used to have?

I don't think its a bad change, videogames force you to learn their rules to succeed, but past a certain point, they don't change you for the better. School also forces you to learn rules to succeed, it forces you to manage your time, and you'll have a better understanding of how the world works when you go through their process.

The biggest favor I ever did for myself was putting down skyrim and enrolling in classes.
