I looooved it on N64, and hope they port it over to Wii Virtual Console soon.

I'm a huge fan of flight sims on consoles. Ever play Crimson Skies for Xbox?

Yes, in fact i saw it at EB games the other day.

Crimson Skies is GREAT! Single player is fun (and tough; various levels), and online play is da bomb: various planes, a variety of maps, etc. :)

I loved the original Pilotwings, and also the similarly themed Playstation 2 game (Sky Odyssey maybe?-can't remember the name).

Unfortunately there are hardly any games like that. Games that are kind of flight sims, but very approachable compared to something super realistic like Flight Simulator X.

I mean basically there have only been four games like that ever made. Pilotwings, Pilotwings 64, Sky Odyssey, and a Playstation Portable game that hasn't seen a release in the United States. I was really disappointed the Gamecube never got a new Pilotwings. I guess that genre must not sell.

I have virtually zero interest in flight combat games (outside of Wing Commander-esque games).

I like Pilotwings because all your smaller missions lead up to a huge
helicopter mission.
