My character is a moon elf druid named Laika, from the Circle of the Land- Underdark. She is 5'10'', 147 lbs, with blue hair, silver skin, and green eyes with gold flecks. :) :D

That's pretty tall for an elf.

I'm currently a Dungeon Master, so my character is whichever NPC the players happen to be interacting with :mrgreen:

I've always focused more on voices for my characters, rather than backgrounds and descriptions, although I do draw them sometimes. In the older editions, it was a lot easier to die, so it would suck to put a lot of work into a character only to lose them and have to make another one. My friends spend a lot of time on theirs, but I just roll the stats and write down the first thing that comes to my mind.

In my friend's 5th Edition campaign, I have a human fighter (sailor) who wears a sick mullet, a mustache, and a wolf pelt. I usually play characters who are careful, but this guy is never afraid to start a fight he can't finish.

My recent character is Tethren, a yellow skinned Tiefling, with silver eyes and dark green hair with sideburns. He is quite thin, is 5'11" and weighs 152 lb, his strength is a 7. Coming from poverty he became a guild trader, trying to make what money he could, wealth is his biggest concern, and is trained in cartography. Wrongly charged with assault, he was later made innocent but humiliated in called weak and harmless, while walking away angrily, he somehow came face to face with an old patron of his family, Great Cthulhu, which promised him power in making him a warlock. Tethren does not openly show off the eldritch nature in how he dresses, in the game he has joined a pirate crew with the other players, to get money, but also show that he is strong.

It has been unfortunate so far, that he already had to put his reputation down as a promiser for a 2,000 gp debt to get a Lizardfolk player out of jail. Brought some question as Tethren is supposed to be NE, but being evil does not mean he doesn't look out for his team. Frustrating so far as on the pirate crew, a good paladin does not want to do raids, and Lizardfolk barbarian does not want to do smuggling to pay off the debt. Through various means, I think he may start to lose sanity.

I usually play either half elves in Ranger/Druid or Cavaliers. When available I play really beefy characters like minotaurs and half orcs. Depends on if D&D or AD&D. ALso play pathfinder, Shadowrun and Eclipse Phase.

last active game campaigns I was in were set in Faerun

One cannot but notice when Clem enters a room despite her mother calling her Cadpig. Though no where near of a height to her mother, she is still a hefty 6'8". Now that she is out of her home village she is seen in Druidic garb over her rangers leathers and has her hood drawn as a rule. Her face and unusually large, light hazel eyes can be seen in it's shadow. Cute would not be the word, but her face is attractive; slightly horsey. She seems to wear iron shod boots under her skirt. Her skin is pale but has an odd tone. Her physique is sturdy but curvy **but if one has observational power in class or race, her dress twitches like she hides a pet, her locomotion gait is slightly "off"**<br><br>
When Uncloaked, Her rough mane of ashen blonde hair cannot hide her most obvious difference..... Horns. She is obviously not purely human if any human blood at all. <br>
When in lighter garments or her leggings, she is revealed to be a half minotaur. From the edge of her "delicate" waist is the start of her pelt and her hooves are shiny and sturdy. Her leonine tail rarely still.<br>
When not in her leathers, she is fond of gold jewelry . Feral barbaric splendor she wears, when in a casual setting of complete freedom and safety. She wears always a pendant her mother left. Mounted on almost a collar it has a gold medallion with a maze like symbol (it is her mother's particular clan design) and a cloak clasp of Mielikki. She has a scar on her left arm that is puckered and rough. Lighter faded scars up close reveal the appearance of rake of savage claw. A fresher scar is in her back but rarely visible. She has a white star off set above her navel, barely seen in the finer lighter pelt area there. Her mother had similar marking but is a darker hued pelt.</

I'm a dwarven warlock who made a deal with an archdevil to defeat some demons. After this pact I felt like I needed to seek my fortune, forsook my clan and became a mercenary, but overall am not a bad guy (True Neutral alignment). Mostly just out to make some coin.

Combat build is melee based with a Halberd pact weapon and the pole-arm master feat (this is all 5E). Since most of my character features up combat ability, my role playing is mostly just gruffly calling people laddie or lassie and threatening any NPCs that cross our party.

Currently working on a Tabaxi monk with the sailor background. Since I wanted the general appearance of a lynx, and Tabaxi lore-whise come in jaguar (meso-american flavour) and leopard (african tribe flavour), I homebrewed up a version of them that come from the far north with lynx-appearance and Saami-flavour.

The Tabaxi monk has good synergy at having some amazing speed, that they can practically become the Flash. An 18th level Tabaxi monk could in a single turn while using all actions go 360 feet in one turn (6 seconds), which is a speed of almost 41 mph, or over 65 kph, and you could double that with a boots of speed, but with the Mobile feat it would be 420 feet in a turn, over 47 mph or 76 kph. And you could double it with a boots of speed or hasted, quadruple if both. You would be moving faster than quicklings.

Haven't really had much of a chance to play lately, but as some fun I was creating some interesting proof of concept characters in strange way, I might put a few of them here.

Joe Average: a human fighter with a folk hero background, make their stats as average as possible, with their folk hero history being something as inconsequential as changing a lord’s mind through symbolic action, and a flaw that they believe they are for greatness. A funny idea of trying to be the most average and uninteresting character, which actually becomes interesting.

The Detective: a human (variant) warlock with the celestial patron, and taking Pact of the Chains, and Investigator background. You are going to want variant human to get either keen mind or Observant feats, the familiar should have the form of an imp (celestial) to act as infiltrator, and be able to do the help action whenever trying to do a skill like figure something out. As flavour the familiar should be treated like a buddy cop partner, you master a celestial because you are for the law (I am particular fond of a Unicorn yelling you that you are off the case, as funny), and eldritch blast should be like noir pistol, extra points for holding hands like a gun and making gun sounds.

Fortune teller: Mostly fluff in pulling human from Curse of Strahd, with a Haunted background, and Wizard in the School of Divination. Kidnapped and raised by a hag, play the traumatized and addict fortune teller who may or may not see the future.

Little Lucky: A lightfoot Halfling Rogue, with an Urban Bounty Hunter background. Halflings are naturally lucky, so work it that you were a professional gambler, who turned bounty hunter for the gambling dens that got annoyed by your winning. I settled on Mastermind rogue, so you are influencing things as indirectly as possible.

Nerdy Hunter: A Rock Gnome Ranger, with monster hunter subclass and Sage (Librarian) background. I imagine sort of like the assistant in the Van Hellsing movie, mixed with the titular character, aiming to take down lycanthropes and vampires with your crossbow and gadgets, where you research them first.

Confident Noble: A Half-Elf Bard with a Noble background, picking up college of Glamour as a subclass. General idea is to be a bastard child between noble human and elf, too confident to realize most of the human family disliked you, too lacking in wisdom to realize the elves were just getting rid of you most of the time in the forest, so charismatic that Fey still taught you the art of the bard. Pretty much always think you are amazing, kind of like Gilderoy Lockhart, yet likable in not being self-aware if you are not and supportive of others. Wisdom sacrificed for Charisma.

The Obnoxious: A Mountain Dwarf Paladin, with an Outlander background. This came to me from inspiration from memes of the female protagonist for the new Pokémon game, trying to be an obnoxious and loud stereotypical Scottish woman of sorts. Spend your time drinking, playing the bagpipes, and starting fights. A rare surface dwarf, pick Oath of the Ancients, see your way of getting drunk, loud bagpipes, and spirited fighting at the slightest slight as true signs of beauty in the world, and everyone who can’t stand things like bagpipe playing hours at a time, don’t know what they are talking about. You want to play what would be an annoying character, but also fiercely loyal to family and friends in a mama bear way. Specifics of language may have to be implied, as you want to make sailors blush. Also, detect poison also finds alcohol.

Also made a Hill Dwarf Cleric to the dwarven god of ale, a clan crafter for brewing and cooking. The character should aim to have their own tavern. I just recently homebrewed some rules for getting drunk, and think it could make the whole activity a bit of a drinking game itself, that have varied and possibly helpful results. Another character I wrote was to be an escort of sorts as a Tiefling divine soul Entertainer (Dancer), I wrote to just not be family friendly.

And part way through proof of concept for a spore druid who wants to get high on mushrooms, choosing a race was not all happy with, mostly landing on centaur with a variable Underdark background. The last ones I have been thinking of an artist who I am leaning on being a monk, and something to play on Ancestor Barbarian that I think something about talking to ghosts.

Pretty much, yeah. Hoping to get a few good stat rolls so I can justify taking mobile over +2 to either dex or wis at level 4.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

A great and powerful mage, Mordenkainen spends much of his time pondering over new bits of magical research. When he does travel, it is usually with the company of his high-level henchmen. On those occasions when he must venture atone, he will disguise himself as on old, poor merchant. In this manner he hopes to avoid attention while still obtaining his goal (usually some rare item for his work).

Mordenkainen should not, however, be mistaken for some weak and withered mogic-user, preferring to mind his own business. He is an active and aggressive person, not foiling to attempt bold, sweeping plans when the situation demands. He has skill in diplomacy, leadership. politics, and some knowledge of religion. He is thorough in his plans and will utilize whatever resources are necessary. He is stubborn and his decisions are often harsh. For all this, he is a clever and useful ally.

Mordenkainen has collected the followIng magic items: Bracers of Defense (AC4), a Bag ot Holding, an Efreeti Bottle, a Wand of Fear, a Wand of Cold, a Crystal Ball (with ESP), a +1 Dagger, and 3 Pearls of Power (1st through 3rd levels). He will also have many scrolls and potions that he has made.

CHARACTER MINUTAE

In late 1972, Gary Gygax created Castle Greyhawk and the dungeons beneath it. After a few months of almost non-stop play as the Dungeon Master, Gygax asked one of the players, Rob Kuntz, to become co-Dungeon Master, which would allow Gygax an opportunity to experience the game as a player. Gygax subsequently created several characters, including a 1st-level wizard in early 1973. Gygax was interested in Finnish mythology, and named the wizard Mordenkainen, a portmanteau of the mythical heroes Mordecai and Lemminkäinen.

He was to become Gygax's most famous character, and also his favorite to play. Over several years of gameplay, mainly from 1973 to 1985, Gygax developed the character traits and adventures with which Mordenkainen would become associated, as well as raising the wizard to "twenty-something levels". During this period, Gygax united Mordenkainen with seven of his other characters to form the Circle of Eight. During his own lifetime, Gygax never disclosed any of Mordenkainen's original game statistics.

When Gygax was forced out of TSR in 1985, he lost the rights to most of the characters he had mentioned in TSR publications, including Mordenkainen. TSR subsequently changed Mordenkainen in ways unforeseen by his creator. When the Greyhawk campaign world was reset in 1991's From the Ashes, Mordenkainen was refashioned as the world's most powerful wizard. The Circle of Eight was now described as a cabal of eight wizards supervised by Mordenkainen, who together sought to balance the forces of good and evil.

Mordenkainen is one of the famous mages whose spells were included in the 1988 Greyhawk Adventures hardbound. Mordenkainen's name has been used to describe various spells published in the Dungeons & Dragons system of magic.

My favorite character was a thief, but I forget what his stats were because it was over 30 years ago when I last played D&D, back in 1980's. The hoodlum must have been successful because I had a ton of magic items and he reached very high level.

I asked my best friend to select my D&D stats based on me in real life, and he gave me:
STR: 7
INT: 13
WIS: 5
DEX: 6
CON: 8
CHR: 9

This caused some tension between us at the time. I was most upset over the Wisdom score. However, I thought the Constitution score should be lower.
