This is a topic to talk about any games that feature ghoulish zombies. Anything from Resident Evil to House of the Dead to Left 4 Dead. Also you can share YouTube videos of some of your favorite zombie games too! :skull:

I just feel like sharing these videos for now.

Scariest level in my opinion from the underrated Japanese horror masterpiece "Siren". A school teacher tries to escape from an abandoned school with her young student while defending herself from ghouls with a crowbar.

My favorite level in the Resident Evil 2 free DLC "Ghost Survivors" where you play as the mayor's daughter as she escapes from her killer with a gun and knife in her hand and makes her way through a city infested zombies in search of her boyfriend.

And finally a very funny level in House of the Dead: Overkill where you play as two heavily armed strippers trying to blast their way out of a zombie infested strip club.

My very first ever zombie game was the Resident Evil Director's Cut for the PSone. It had some of the worst voice acting and cheesiest lines just like a B movie. :P

Intentional or not, it made the game very famous in regards to the terrible voice acting. Like when Barry tells Jill "You were almost a Jill Sandwich". 8)

Most of the later games tried to polish up on the campiness though. :)

I really like ZombiU on the WiiU, even though I'm really bad at it. It's almost like a Roguelike, where it's really easy to die, and you respawn as a different character.

Obviously, the RE games are classics, and L4D was a lot of fun. The L4D team has a new game coming out, called Back 4 Blood: https://www.back4blood.com/en-us

He meant she was almost flattened.

He said that line when the character Jill was almost crushed to death from a trap. :)

I really liked Left 4 Dead but never got to play Left 4 Dead 2. I thought about getting them both for the Xbox 360 someday to play on my Xbox One. I hope they are backwards compatible?

Will do. :)

Btw here was another obscure zombie game I remember back in the day called CarnEvil where you shoot up ghoulish carnival workers. :jester:

I put a ton of hours into 7 Days to Die a few years back, it's kinda like Minecraft with zombies, where you have to build a fort of some sort because every 7 days a giant horde of zombies comes through and tries to murder you. It's pretty fun if you can get a ways in, I built a huge underground lair the zombies couldn't get into, then built myself a reinforced concrete crows nest protected by a spiked moat, electric fences, turret guns, spinning blades, etc, so that when the 7 day horde would show up I could just pick them off from my tower while my traps chewed them up. It's hard in the beginning, but once you get the hang of it it's not too tough, and cheap too.

That actually does sound rather interesting! :D

Also has anyone here played this gem called Lone Survivor? It reminds me a lot of the Silent Hill games.

Doom 3 has demonically possessed zombies.

This live action intro to the remake of Resident Evil 3 feels so eerily familiar. :chin:

The game was made in 2020...

Capcom Developer 1: "What do you think? Should we try and recreate the intro from the original game with up-to-date graphics?"

Capcom Developer 2: "Nah, just get a camera and record what's happening outside our window."

This was the frustratingly hardest part about Resident Evil 2 imo.
