The Ultimate Litmus Test for...
Since mid-August of 2014, there’s been quite a culture war about which themes geeks think fictional media ought to convey. You likely know exactly what controversy I’m talking about, so rather than directly address it, I’m going to try highlighting some misconceptions about it. One of my biggest complaints about this whole mess is that some people still don’t understand what the flame wars are all about, which is why I’ve created this survey to help reveal what certain groups really want in their video games. (By the way, despite the title, this test might not be thorough enough, so feel free to add additional relevant questions if you like. Also, I'm sorry if the questions seem too obvious or look like they're not in the best order.)
1. How strongly do you favor violent content in video games?
2. How strongly do you favor sexual content in video games?
3. How strongly do you favor diversity and minority representation in video games?
4. How strongly do you favor feminism?
5. How strongly do you favor criticism of feminism?
6. How strongly do you favor Nazi antagonists in video games?
7. How strongly do you favor Nazi protagonists in video games?
8. During the 1980s & 1990s, which was the intended demographic for the most popular console games? A) They were meant for white males only. B) They were meant for Japanese males only. C) They were meant for everyone.
By the way, you don't have to credit me for this. I don't want any further involvement in this fiasco. If I had things my way, I'd ignore all the arrogant partisanship on the internet that's corrupted the fandom of games, comics, literature, metal and pop culture in general.

Pornographic games are illegal to sell physically in the U.S. There were some for the Atari 2600 but you had to get them through hush hush under the counter transactions.
You want a good brothel game on the web, you might find one in places like Newgrounds or something. I think Steam also has some sexual content games available.

1. How strongly do you favor violent content in video games?
I play violent computer games all the time, not all are mindless, and playing them has not turned me into a violent criminal.
2. How strongly do you favor sexual content in video games?
I am not particularly interested in seeing sex in a computer game, apart from the tongue and cheek stuff found in games like Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein.
3. How strongly do you favor diversity and minority representation in video games?
Don't really have a problem either way, as long as the games good.
4. How strongly do you favor feminism?
Don't have a problem with woman expressing themselves, although, militant angry woman who think the world owes them just because they are woman do get tiring and stressful to be around.
I have known woman who like to use any excuse to hurt people especially men, so feminism, when done sincerely and intelligently can be good, but when it is used as an excuse to hurt men for just being men, i think it becomes criminal.
5. How strongly do you favor criticism of feminism?
I think intelligent criticism is warranted, this is different to a hate crime.
6. How strongly do you favor Nazi antagonists in video games?
Yes, I like fighting nazi's. I naturally don't like nazi's. I live on an island that was the only British soil to be occupied during the second world war and am reminded of their oppressive regime on a daily basis.
7. How strongly do you favor Nazi protagonists in video games?
No, i don't think Nazi's are hero's. Interestingly enough, a great deal of our super hero's were originally inspired by writings that influenced the nazi's. The Superman, Thor, Wolverine.
Viking, Greek and Roman Mythology also being a massive influence that shaped the Nazi mindset,
as well as being used to brain wash the masses of the time.
8. During the 1980s & 1990s, which was the intended demographic for the most popular console games? A) They were meant for white males only. B) They were meant for Japanese males only. C) They were meant for everyone.
C?
C?
I'm sorry, madbutnotmad, but that is incorrect. Wingnuts of the Western world would generally choose A in a heartbeat, while Western moonbats would typically choose either A or C (depending on how they wish to misinterpret popular fiction). It was ethnically Japanese people who lived in Japan and were familiar with the Japanese language that made these games, not overzealous multiculturalists or ethnocentric supremacists; many of these games (largely from Nintendo, Sega and Sony) became popular in the West after they got translated (and possibly edited in other ways) because of how they referenced certain aspects of Western culture. I wish more people would research the history of their favorite hobbies instead of ignorantly discussing things they really enjoy.
I just thought of another question that can help assess this cultural divide instead of providing meaningless trivia or fully reinforcing the horseshoe theory:
9. How strongly do you believe that gamers are privileged?
(By the way, I'm sorry if the way I worded all these questions is inadequate.)
9. How strongly do you believe that gamers are privileged?

To be a gamer, you need to afford at least a machine to run the game and free time.
Is it a lot? Not more than most other hobbies, less than many I can think of.

I used to have "super computers" built for me when I played multiplayer First Person shooter games.
Probably in the best 5 % of rigs in the game.
The last, without the monitor, cost $3,000 and would last me 2 years.
(Computers are getting cheaper and cheaper).
Since I haven't been playing MP games for about 2 years, means I have saved around $6,000.
The computer I am playing Cyberpunk on is over 2 years old but handles the game like a dream, btw.
What requirements need to be met to qualify as "gamer", how much video game avoidance is needed to be a "non-gamer" and what about the people in the middle?

1. How strongly do you favor violent content in video games? Not much. However, conflict is necessary to the narrative, and violence is the easiest conflict to depict graphically, from a pie in the face to a tactical nuclear strike.
2. How strongly do you favor sexual content in video games? Gratuitous sexual content has no place in video games for the general public.
3. How strongly do you favor diversity and minority representation in video games? Strongly; however, diversity and minority representation should not be the raison d'être -- the be-all and do-all -- of any video game.
4. How strongly do you favor feminism? As a subset of egalitarianism, I am for it. As a philosophy of female dominance, I am against it.
5. How strongly do you favor criticism of feminism? I do not favor it at all.
6. How strongly do you favor Nazi antagonists in video games? They're as good a target as any.
7. How strongly do you favor Nazi protagonists in video games? What a sucky idea!
8. During the 1980s & 1990s, which was the intended demographic for the most popular console games? A) They were meant for white males only. B) They were meant for Japanese males only. C) They were meant for everyone. Both A and B.

Okay, instead of just answering new questions to this questionnaire every time the OP gets inspired to add more, I'm going to repost all the questions I've answered so far in a new post while making the newest questions appear in same bold-letter format I used with previous questions.
1. How strongly do you favor violent content in video games? Not much. However, conflict is necessary to the narrative, and violence is the easiest conflict to depict graphically, from a pie in the face to a tactical nuclear strike.

9. How strongly do you believe that gamers are privileged? Not at all. Some may think they are; but they really are not.
10. How strongly do you believe that non-gamers are hostile to gamers? Some are, and some are not. I think most people really do not care one way or the other.
11. How strongly do you believe that gamers are too insensitive? HAH! Quiet the opposite!
12. How strongly do you believe that video games are overrated? Strongly. I play video games, and they are certainly NOT not the be-all and do-all of my existence or identity.
13. How strongly do you believe that video game addiction is bad? Meh ... no more addictive than any other past-time or hobby.
