Am I the only one who disliked resident evil 8 village?

By the way I am a long time resident evil fan

Yeah it was pretty bad. I didn't like 7 either, and it was probably better than that overall, but still bad. There's a tiny handful of fights in the game that involve actual thought or skill, and there are long sections that are just scripted sequences back-to-back.

One thing I'll say is that increasing the FOV on PC did help to make it more playable.

Good to know. I haven't played RE7 or 8 yet. I plan to catch up on the series one day (technically I'm only two games behind). As a Jill fan though, I've been really put out by her absence and seeing Chris shoehorned into pretty much every mainline game since 5. I'm also iffy about the series cashing in on the trend of first person horror, which admittedly works really well for a lot of games, but that's just not RE to me. These newer games are clearly quite popular though, so maybe I just need to get over my doubts and give them a try. I'll think about it if I ever run out of other games to play.
