Did I make the wrong choice in purchasing this game?

Nearly completed the last of us part 2 and today I also purchased the last of us part 1 remastered which I never played before.

At the moment I can’t get a hold of a ps5 because of stock shortages so there’s no way I can play the brand new last of us part 1 remake. My question is though do you think I made the wrong choice buying the last of us remastered if I also plan on playing the remake on ps5 in the future?

I don't know anything about that game in particular, (I hate adventure games personally) but most of the time if the game is good and you're a fan of it, there's no harm in playing each of the versions. Typically it's pretty cool to play the original before a remake anyway, IMO

Eh, just get the PS3 or PS4 version as well. You can play the PS5 version later.

Remastering the first game when it hasn't been that long since it's original release never made sense in the first place. They're just trying to get some of that next gen profit because they are out of fresh ideas.
