One of our friends was over last night and was telling us about how Gears of War will be coming out for PC with a lengthened version of the story and more game play. Is it just me or do you need at least 30" of screen and DTS to make this game really worth it?

You''ll definitely need a 8800 to truly enjoy this game,thus i'm not getting it.

Why would you need a 30" screen? Regarding video cards, I'd think anything in the 7800/7900 series will probably run it really well. Probably lower end cards will run it well with lower settings.

Gears of War is being enhanced for PC, but it's still a Direct X 10 part, and was designed around hardware lower end than the best 7900 series cards, let alone an 8800 part.
