What do you think of the fact that nearly all threads in this forum are about video games? Should there be more discussion of other pasttimes here?

No, I'm not one for traditional sports either, but I'd like to know what other aspies think of this forum being so flooded by one topic. I try to avoid video games, knowing that their addictive powers and my obsessive tendencies are not a good combination. :)

The organization of this site can be bizarre at times. I kind of expect video game discussion to go in the media or computer section actually.

And the games in this section is the board variety.

Doesn't really matter though, it's all just a means to an end.

I am kind of glad that this site isn't too restricted in what you can talk about and where... the conversations can grow fluidly into whatever it goes to. But there is still established starting points to the conversation and it just isn't random blah, blah, blahing.

This forum, like several others here, is poorly categorized. Games are games. Some sports are like games in that they're competetive, but some are not. I think there should be a seperate forum for sports. Someday, a person on WP who normally shuns physical activity is going to want to change his/her habit, and having a forum that they can browse without having to sift through all the video games would be a welcome convenience for them.

I think it just illustrates the fact that having a dedicated "games" forum would be nice. Gaming could include computer games, video games, tabletop RPG / board games, game development theory, etc. The topic is too vast to be coupled with sports and fitness and appeals to a different set of interests.

Fitness is important and all, but when I want to read / talk about games I don't really want to read about fitness and vice / versa.

Sports and Exercise sucks compared to video games. There should be a dedicated video games forum, though.

I do not like video games much at all but even I can understand that
on an aspergers forum site there would be massive obsessive interest in video games and only limited interest in sports. I walk my dogs every night if I can that sums of my exercise program. This is the video game forum.

Game threads game threads everywhere, but not one dedicated to Alex Kidd.

Which is disappointing for me who loves sports. They should be separate I think.

Separation seems like a good idea. 'twould make finding what for one is searching somewhat easier.
