Have any of you dug into the Internet Archive's Game Collection? There are some real gems in there and many you can play from your browser. I really enjoyed Tokyo Wars but plan on diving into some other titles as time permits.

I was looking for a particular topic, but I found this. I did not see it when it was originally posted.
I am familiar with the Internet Archive Collection. I have DOSBox installed on my computer, it is actually DOSBox-X, and I have downloaded a few games, mostly old DOS games. I mostly use it for collecting DOS user interfaces and utilities. Basically stuff I could not afford in the 1990s.

But I use the Internet Archive for other things as well. For instance I downloaded JPeg scans of most, nearly all, of the the issues of Famous Monsters of Filmland, and then scripted a process to turn the individual issues into PDFs.

I believe so.
I believe it is safer than VenusWare.com. VenusWare has "abandonware." Most are abandonware, but not all. Their archive of software sometimes have infected software. It's always good to run a virus check.
But the Internet Archive has more than software.

Nice! I was using Vimm's but it looks like Nintendo found them and went after em.

I'm hoping torrents become big again. Not so much for pirating new games but because there are sooo many gems that are hidden.

Thank you for sharing
