Has anyone else tried it on game pass? Idk I Love it, idk I love the little pixel characters. Growing up I never got to play much video games cause my mom hated video games... so it doesn't take me back to old games or anything as I didn't really get a chance to play those. but idk I like the little pixel characters and the turn based combat is somethi9ng I really enjoy in the game. I used to think it was stupid and thought turn based combat was stupid but that was before I figured out a bit of how it works. Like now I love turn based combat in video games and cant get enough of it. I guess its just a little different from the games I generally go after, but idk some JRPGS just have such a cozy atmosphere it's hard to pass them up.

Reading this was a shocker, I have been playing as an Octopode Alchemist in Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup all this morning. Dungeon Crawl is a turn-based game for PC, Mac, or Linux computers. I like Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup so much, I put it in my signature to every message I post here on Wrong Planet.
The beauty of turn-based games is you can pause easily if you need to. I like them a lot better than realtime games that demand all attention and focus all the time.
Octopodes are awesome.
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup is 100% free and always has been. It has been around at least 10 years. Probably longer.

Turn based makes it easy to smoke a bowl or whatever whenever you want like right in the middle of a battle you can just do that and then get right back into the fight. Also Idk its kind of fun to see what the enemys weaknesses so after you lose the battle you can change up your party to get members that are better in the fitght, lol right now I am trying to beat the carnivorous plant but my highest level character is at 25 or higher and the rest are stuck on 19 and 20 so idk if I need to get higher level to beat that thing or what I gave up after three tries of that thing kicking my ass no matter what I did...its a tough creature so I gave up and figured I will give it a try after leveling up a bit more.
But yeah idk I like the turn based because of like you can literrally pause anytime without too much stress, maybe that means leaving the battle music on while you load the dishwasher, but its good background music so you just let the loading screen keep going or the battle music if you walk away in the middle of that.

Well, now I know why your avatar is "Sweetleaf," the leaf is sweet for sure. I was wake-n-bake for a long time, and used to play Dungeon Crawl baked a fair amount. Now I play it sober and just kind of don't need to get high anymore. I think I just don't have enough time remaining in this life to get high.
Sometimes, I indulge in this little fantasy of mine, in which I retire, sell the house and move to Vermont, where it is legal to grow up to 4 plants. You see, I always like growing better than using. There is something about bonding with the plant and getting to know it, then harvest and vape, and you know what you are vaping, there are no adulterants or anything amiss, only pure, the same as the ancients smoked.
I am playing Dungeon Crawl now too, just before bed. Octopodes are my favorite character, because they can wear 8 magical rings that have powers.
