Post your favorite things about the Mega Man series!

I liked Mega Man 2 and 3 the best.

Suprisingly, I've never played a Mega-man game.

The original Mega Man was the most difficult game of all of them. And it was the only one to have a score counter.

I got my introduction to Megaman via Megaman 2. I liked Megaman 2, 3 and 4, though 7 was probably my favorite. The megaman X series was nice and out of that, I loved Megaman X2. Haven't had a chance to play the playstation incarnations of megaman, but I hear they are nice. There is quite a bit of effort in the music remixing community of megaman games. One should go look at overclocked remix www.ocremix.org and see what kind of megaman music shows. Some of it is quite good!

The best music cues in the Mega Man games are:

MM2: Quick Man stage, Dr. Wily's Castle segments 1-2, and Dr. Wily's Castle segments 3-4.

MM3: The end sequence, where Mega Man is walking through the fields and sees Proto Man in the clouds.

Why haven't they done a Mega Man 3D game? They should, and it should go on 2 players too (1st player being Mega Man "X", 2nd player being Proto Man "Zero", mega man's "brother")

I've only throughly played the first 4 Mega Man X games.
Good stuff.
Tried the Mega Man Zero games on GBA, but they different and quite hard.

might i suggest you pick up the megaman anniversary pack? the audio kinda sucks on it as far as how they redid a lot of the game audio....but the game play is still spot on and gives a great timeline for the game's evolution as you can pretty much play all of the original series.

The original had the hardest bosses. From Mega Man 2 on most of the bosses were really easy if you fought them in the right order. In the first game the bosses put up a good fight no matter what order you fought them.
