New Pokemon game: Pokemon Platinum

Yes, this isn't fake.

Anyways, there will be a "sister" game to Diamond and Pearl called "Platinum" (not sure if this is a permanent name). It will feature new outfits for the playable characters (according to Bulbapedia which is down at the moment), Girantia as the boxart, new sprites (I think) and much more.

In a slightly unrelated story:

Why platinum? It's not that I don't like it, it's just... why couldn't they name it after a jewel like Diamond and Pearl?

they are also working on a 'pokemon ranch' or something like that for the wiiware game download system

Yeah. And I thought for SURE that it was coming out at the end of May... but it didn't. Oh well.

So is Girantia supposed to be a dragon/centipede thingy? Or... what is it exactly?

I have no idea. His origin form looks like a giant ghostly centipede, while the "another" form looks like a combination of a dragon and ghost thrown in together.

Either way, no matter what species Giratina is supposed to represent, he is still my favorite Pokemon today.

I wonder what the origin form will have for stats? If you guys haven't noticed, the Giratina that appears in pearl and Diamond does best at walling both physically and defensively, while the origin form looks like it does best at speed and attack.

What happens when they run out of colored elements? They'll have to go to stuff like Pokemon: Magnesium, Pokemon: Oxygen, Pokemon: Carbon....

Yes Platinum will be for Diamond annd Pearl what Emerald was for Ruby and Sapphire. Basically better graphics and more options and side quests. Platinum has that new Giratina form too.
