I've never done anything with gimp or any other art kind of software like it before. I was playing with a screenshot I took in game and some Gears Of War logos I found online and put them all together and came up with this

This was just a bit of fun while trying to get to grips with Gimp by playing around with the software and wondered what you guys and gals thought of what I came out with.

I'm on a slow connection, so images take awhile to load.

Working fine for me.

Its a good game but too macho and not in an ironic way, sometimes its borderline homoerotic. I don't think UnrealEngine3 is that great. I think Crysis looks much better and I'm really looking forward to FarCry 2 by Ubisoft Montreal. Have you tried Crysis on that system?

I finished Crysis it was amazing. didn't run to well on my computer as my graphics card a MSI 7900GTO 512mb is very dated now and doesn't do my quad core justice. I'm just using my old graphics card until the Nvidia 9000 serise cards come out. I hear it's out next month sometime.

Technically the 8800GT is the 9 series but I know what you mean. I doubt the performance will be that much better than the 8800GTX / Ultra and the price will be very steep at first. I wonder if they will be supporting DirectX 10.1 like ATI. I'm going for the 3870 from ATI and I can always add another in Crossfire if I need the extra FPS. I had a 8800GTS 320 mb a short time ago and I wasn't very impressed with it. The GT is supposedly far better but I'm going AMD/ATI this time. I can't wait to build my rig and get back to PC gaming. I can't wait for Stalker: Clear Sky, FarCry 2 and Total War: Empire this year.
