There are a total of 21 characters to start with according to the website.

Everyone revealed on the website apart from Snake and Sonic will be playable from the off.

Well, out of the ones introduced in Brawl, I'd like to try Snake, Zero-Suit Samus, Wario, Sonic, the Pokemon Trainer and Olimar.

Luigi, Marth, Mr Game and Watch, Falco, Ganondorf (is that the Twilight Princess version, or a non-toon version of the Wind-Waker version?), Lucario, Ness, Toon Link (WTF?), Robot (EGWTF?), Captain Falcon, and Jigglypuff (aka Purin).

oooh, now i wont be able to decide whether to play as snake or pikachu. both of them rock so much, waaaaah! >_<

that being said, id love to have these two guys switch roles for a day: seeing snake struggle with teenagers and bright-colored monsters would be downright hilarious and pikachu sneaking up to soldiers and frying them with a resounding "pikaaaa-CHUUUUUUUU!" would rock, too.

Let's see... I'm probably going to be Pit and Lucario. I can't wait for this game to come out!

I'll be Luigi. Boys, we'll be havin ourselves a fight come march 9th.

It seems Wolf has also been unlocked by now.
I haven't seen any pictures of him in the character select screen though.

Im not that happy with the final roster. Too many clones. And no K Rool, Megaman, Geno, Skull Kid or Isaak

I will probably use Yoshi or Toon Link with his evil black costume.

K. Rool and Geno would have been so awesome.

It's not a bad lineup, though. I just could have thought of more variations.

BTW

I already know I'm waiting by the door to buy that game and wasting my life on it.

I would DEFINITELY pick Mario, L-L-L-L-L-Luigi, Falco, Ganondorf, or Donkey Kong. I have made sure that in the previous installments, Mario was THE champion.

I really wanted Krystal to be a playable character.

I'm very disappointed that Roy wasn't included, he was my favorite character in SSBM.

But this game is going to be so awesome.

In Melee, the one character I ABSOLUTELY HATED was Captain Falcon. For me, he was nothing but a clumsy clutz.

I don't think K. Rool and Geno are Nintendo characters, they're designed and owned by Rareware and Square-Enix respectively. It's a pity there aren't any Squaresoft/Enix characters though, I was expecting them since that company's so popular in Japan.
