i got a psp...mod?

i got a psp...but how do i mod it now? all the stupid videos i find on youtube have the firmware already installed and that's what i need to know how to do. preferably without having to buy a pandora battery....and hopefully i don't have to buy another memory stick (i thought i had read somewhere that over 2 gigs wouldn't work?).

What kind did you get, the slim or fat? If you've got the fat PSP, which firmware is on it?

it's a new one in piano black. how else could i differentiate between slim and fat?

The new PSP models are Slim & Lite. I think you have this.

You need a PSP with custom firmware, in order to use Pandora or Despertar del Cementerio on your PSP. Right now there is no way to customize or downgrade your firmware from 3.90, sorry.

I changed my fat PSP's official firmware (mine was 2.80) to custom firmware.

a friend is telling me that pandora should be able to fix the problem and install the right firmware on it.

and it's got kind of an rpg name to it too....use item: pandora's battery.

Sorry, I meant there is no way to downgrade or customize from 3.90 without having Pandora or Despertar del Cementerio.

Anyway, it's good you have a modPSP

Unless you induce a crash, that should revert the firmware back to the first version.

even on a slim? i don't think you can revert back to what isn't there?


anyways, pandora did the trick and i'm now enjoying emulations of sega, NES, and SNES games.

Can't say much on slims... don't have one yet, but if the slim has never had version 1 firmware, then no... I can't see inducing a crash working.
