Has anyone suffered this fate?

My Blaziken on Pokémon Pearl has Pokérus and I don't use it often because I want to cure it.

I once had a look on the ONM forum and it said something about it making the Pokémon level up/gain exp faster.

I forgot to post the picture

You would think that because it's a virus then it would be a bad thing. Unfortunately, Pokérus is useless on my Blaziken because it's Lv 100. The only bad thing about Pokérus is that you have to sit through mammoths of text everytime you want to heal your Pokémon.

I have some guys with the virus in my Pokemon box. I use them to infect new guys that I'm leveling.

My brother has a Lv100 Rayquaza which I think has Pokérus but I'm not sure.

Is that the one that makes your DS play THIS over and over?

No, but that animation is still pretty funny, even if it goes on forever.

Pokérus is a virus whereby your Pokémon are forced to grow faster. So even though it's a virus, it's kind of good. It would be good to see a Pokémon that you can only get by having Pokérus in later games.

Pokerus is definitely a good thing. That's exactly why my pokemon have never had it.

Pokérus is great! always infect your new pokemon and always keep an infected pokemon in the PC.

[Pokédex activated!]
Pokérus, Also known as the Pokémon Virus, is benifical to the growth of the pokémon(s) effort values. The growth rate doubles. However, the virus expires after 24 hours, and after that, your pokémon can NEVER be infected again. The virus will not expire in PC storage, nor will it spread. Pokérus is a contagus virus and can spread to other pokémon.

Pokerus is ideal for EV training, EV training allows your pokemon to be used at their full potential

I have a Blaziken with Pokérus so I might use that. I don't play Pokémon Pearl at the moment though (this is an old thread that appears to have been bumped).

When a pokemon has Pokerus then when it defeats an opponent pokemon (wild or trainer's) then the EV's gained are double the usual amount. My Ampharos on Pokemon Silver once got it, but I didn't know about it back when I got it so it slipped away. :(

If you want to get rid of it (Though I wouldn't) save the game with only the Blaziken in your party, leave it for 24 hours, and the play again. It won't be contagious anymore, but the affects will still be visible. (Not that there are any affects in the first place with a lvl 100 pokemon.) And it might shut Nurse Joy up. In Pearl it doesn't say that every time you heal your pokemon, only the first time you bring an infected Pokemon to the Pokecentre.
