my tekken team:)
I'm a big tekken fan. I find it particularly beneficial to learn several different players, as to be able to mix it up with my friends better, you know, so they don't ever get my number so to speak. I'm trying to get better now, getting lots of practice. Learning one guy at a time, inside and out, combos, moves, etc. And it may take some time, but I'm trying to get good enough to defeat my friend who'se insanely good at it...
But this is my perfectly, geometrically designed tekken team. I call them the Champions, theyr all champions. I've even bought them their colors, made them look like a unit (and dude, do they look mad pimpn' bad-asses). Their colors are gold and black. All of them but Ganryu have championship belts around their waste (I do not believe sumos have belts, do they?). But check it out though:
enforcers:
Craig Marduk:
specialty- ground and pound, MMA type fighter, and air juggles
King:
specialty- grappling combos
guards:
Ganryu- guard specialist, heavyweight wear-down type of fighter. Sort of like the immovable brick wall, so to speak. Flurries of hand slaps, headbutts, and short fast charging headbutts. You'd think that'd leave him vulnerable, you know, charging, but actually it doesn't, it's a very effective move. It's very quick and not too far distance, and with good enough form that it actually doesn't leave him vulnerable.
Bruce- atheletic specimen, long reach, specialises in fast, hard-hitting striking combos. Also assistant captain.
Captain:
Steve Fox- evasion specialist, hard-to-hit, lots of bobbing, ducking, and weaving, and power blows/combos.
So it's Marduk, King, Ganryu, Bruce, and Steve:) Those are my champions.
Right now I'm still practicing with Marduk. I'm mainly focusing on using takedowns, ground and punds and ground submissions. But I'm also trying to learn a few stand up defensive moves, and small combos.... Once I get better with small combos I'll move onto harder combos gradually. So hopefully by the time I get around to learning King I'll have a better hold on performing combos.
I mean I'm already good with most of them, I just wanna get great. I wanna learn how to perform like a pro. So I can beat my friend at it lol. I can beat all my friends except 1 friend, and he's like insanely good. So until I can perform 10-12 hit combos on cue I won't be ready to defeat him. I figure with my tekken team, I have a versatile, diverse group of people to alternate between, to keep switching my numbers up ya know, and everyone has their own special methods and tactics. So I become a bit harder to pin down.
