I've been playing Super Mario Galaxy and it's the best game I've played for the Wii yet. I never really liked any of the other Wii games. Are there any other Mario fans? I actually like some of older Mario games...like the first Super Mario game. That game is awesome!

I have to agree with you, Super Mario Galaxy is my favorite Wii game.
I think it's closely seconded by Zelda, but nonetheless is the best. Smash is great but the online play is clunky, plus the subspace mode is aggravating. Smash is like Nintendo's chance to do this Kingdom Hearts-esque title with all the biggest characters in gaming history in what would probably be one of the best games ever, and they just keep turning it into a pretty cool fighting game. Still neat, but it could be so much better.

I don't see anything better than Galaxy on the horizon either. Mario Kart will be neat, so will Wii Fit...but not on the same level.

Unfortunatly I haven't gotten the chance to play Smash, Mario Kart, or Zelda so I can't really compare them yet.

I'm really looking forward to playing them though. Any Mario game is good.

no more heroes and super paper mario are also homerun hits...but quite overlooked despite positive reviews.

I have yet to play paper mario, somehow.
But I did play No More Heroes. I enjoyed it a lot - the style was excellent, the overall attitude of it, and the feel that it was really made for gaming geeks.

My only problem with it was the 'overworld' between missions. It seemed clunky and repetitive to me...but nonetheless one of the best wii games.

Isn't No More Heroes the one where that Japanese dude finds a "beam katana" (a.k.a. lightsaber) on eBay and then sets out to be the world's best bounty hunter?

If so, I saw the ad for that in a copy of Anime Insider, and that was the one I ROFL'ed at. No seriously, I ROFLMAO'ed at that. That was the most idiotic yet most hilarious idea for a video game plotline i have seen in a while.

you're so entirely right but at the same time, the game takes you on such a fun trip through all the characters and story development as you move up in rank.

I haven't been buying much Wii games since I started college, but Super Mario Galaxy is *the* killer app for the system. Of course SSBB comes second, then the rest is debatable.

paper mario is so huge. and it's cause of the powerups and how they have to be used to find hidden stuff that the game just gets bigger and bigger just from flipping between 2d to 3d rather less then paper thin powerup or the spotlight powerup.

The five best Wii games in my opinion are:

1. Super Mario galaxy
2. Metroid Prime 3
3. Zelda TP
4. Super Paper Mario
5. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I haven't played the new Mario Kart yet.
