what about Viva Pinata, your main way to deal with these animal cratures is hitting them with a shovel. It was made by Rare who also made the Banjo Kazooie games, and though they are G rated they were riddeld with dirty jokes, and Viva Pinata has some dirty jokes. If you have seen the show it idolises eating as much candy as possible. In the Pokemon games you are going against people who are missusing them.
Ah, also Rare did
Conker's Bad Fur Day a great game, but it's not for children. However if it wasn't for the several warnings plasters over the box, an unasumming parent would think its a game with cute animals. Like Banjo-Kazooie
Also by your reasoning, Pokemon, like Pikmin, is morally questionable. Its about little kids stealing animals from their environments, keeping them in cramped quarters and then battling them for sport. And throughout the game, adults reward you for this.
And Super Mario Bros. is about saving a princess by jumping on the heads of turtles. I don't know how PETA didn't jump all over that game when it came out.
And there was a news story a few years ago down here in Rhode Island where a 3rd grader badly injured another with a move he learned in a video game. The game was Madden NFL.
