I love Tecmo Bowl as it has been my childhood favorite back in the days of playing NES, SNES, and the Sega Genesis.

My personal favorite is the Tecmo Super Bowl from the Sega Genesis back in 1993 because the game does not overheat when you are about to save your season. Plus you can play three years mode on those (same with the SNES).

What your favorite Tecmo Bowl games?

Tecmo's Dead Or Alive Xteme Beach Bowling. WARNING: this game contains many bouncing bowling balls thanks to its revolutionary "bowling ball propulsion mechanic." Designed by Tomonobu Itagaki who apparently has never seen a real naked bowling ball in his life.

We are talking about the other famous football franchise in video game history, but you are welcome to put that game in the best Tecmo games of all-time, though.

I was always more a fan of Madden and as such have been enjoying the collector's edition. They finally updated the damned game since next-gen '06 and it definitely plays and feels much better than previous iterations.

Madden 92 = I formation HB toss to the outside. touchdown every time against the computer.

Haven't played any of the games too extensively (so I can't really vote for one), but I must admit, they're really fun for being sports games. I saw the first one for NES at Goodwill and had to snatch it up =)

Don't really care for the later sequels that came out for SNES and Genesis...16 plays is a bit too much for someone like me who's more into the arcade action of the game...I don't know anything about football plays, just let me pick one at random and hope it works ;)

I'm pretty excited about the new game coming out for DS (I think it's hitting the Wii too? I'm not sure). Very oldskool, they even went back to eight plays. Shame they couldn't get the licenses to use real teams and players, but it looks like we'll be able to create/download our own =)
