Hey does anyone here make mods for oblivion? Im obsessed with it and was wondering if anyone else did, I made this so the people who do can share their creations and ideas and if your like me you probally find most modding forums a lil intimidating (and a wee bit confusing too). I mainly do texturing but i do a lil bit a scripting and know a bit about altering models (namely cut n paste and simple things like that lol). i haven't released many of mine as most of what i start doesn't get finished as im always thinking of new ideas o.O my page at tes nexus is here if you wanna see

click here for my tes nexus page

If anyone has a simple request or needs help with a mod id love to assist in anyway possible just ask

Im currently working on a new house mod at the moment which im really excited about, i got the meshes and textures for the exterior and interior done all ready now i need im working on making unique furniture and clutter etc for it.

I was interested in it for a while, but I couldn't get past the learning curve of the construction set. And besides that, my computer can't really run Oblivion smoothly (unless I turn all the video settings down so far that the game looks like utter crap).

I never made it too much further past modding existing house mods to how I wanted them (usually removing free weapons and armor and removing clutter). I always like using a bunch of mods so anyone making mods is good news the more the merrier :o

Good luck I look forward to maybe using your new house mod

Oh yeah i forgot to say, have you tried using old-blivion? it makes oblivion more compatible with lower end computers, try searching for it in tes nexus. also this website has some good modding Tutorials for beginners

Thanks, not sure when it will be done, i think i set my sights a little too high, its about the same size as the leyawin fighters guild and is made from all my own textures and everything inside it from candles to storage was going to be retextured aswell as a forge, alchemy lab, and spell/enchanting altars as well as fully scripted servants and some unique clothing, armours, weapons and horse. but ive just realised how long its all going to take me lol. it would be cool to get it finished and i plan to eventually but there's alot of little things i wanna do aswell so ive decided to work on this between my smaller projects rather than concentrate solely on it.

The only mod I made in Oblivion is that I added fully functional spellmaking and enchanting altars to the basement of the house in Anvil... that was before frostcrag spire came out and I didn't want to complete the mages guild quests eveyrtime I wanted to enchant something...

I will however state, for the record, that the Morrowind Construction Set was an order of magnitude easier to use (mostly because you didn't need to look up an 8 digit hexidecimal code for every item in the game...)
