DKC1 was one of my favorite games on the SNES, however I don't think I ever had a favorite character in the game. My least favorite character was Expresso the Ostrich because whenever he tried to jump on enemies, he would get injured at start running away immediately which kinda sucked.

The DKC series was by far one of the best things about the SNES. Sure, it wasn't massively original stuff, but it was slick, amazing-looking, great-sounding platforming fare. To be honest, I enjoyed those games far more than any of the Mario, or other similar platformers.
Oh, and the music, considering how limited the SNES soundchip was, was absolutely brilliant, too :)

Does Lankey count, otherwise I chose the rhino, that was cool.

Kind've silly to complain about that. You weren't supposed to jump on enemies with him. You were supposed to fly over them.

Well excuse me, I didn't know that. I preferred using animals to attack enemies like Rambi the Rhino and Winky the Frog.

I never liked the first one. The second and third ones polished the problems I had with the first title, though.

The best platformer I played on the SNES had to be Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels. That was a challenging game.

Donkey Kong 64 is the fourth game in the DKC series of course. Diddy and Lanky are my favorite Kong characters.

Ah, the DKC games. Those were good times. Did you know that you can buy all three games on the Wii Shop Channel? Anyway... My favorite character was Dixie Kong. I thought Kiddy Kong was kinda cute, too.
