just a thought, who here would die to see a star wars beat em up game where its basicly just lightsaber duels :). and perhaps a create a char feature too? i would so love this ^^. and also, if so, what charecters would you love to see in it.

for me:

vader
qui gon jinn
yoda
Obi-wan kinobi
mace windu
General Rahm Kota (if hes the first boss in star wars the forced unleashed that star destroyer meets with a green lightsaber)
SPIDERMAN! (he he, only joking, but that would be funny ^^)

so dude, why dont you make the game?
its not that hard,
search your feelings ĺuke
you know it to be true.

if you really want that game, make it.
create it
lets your mind create
you will find great joy in it i promise.

there is alot of software around if you are a programing illiterate.
other things you could do is to use 2d engines, or perhaps make everything from scratch.
it all depends on what type of person you are.

peace and love and all that.

Their is a Star Wars beat-em-up game based on the 3rd prequel for the Game Boy Advance which I have.

Yes, I've played it, it's not too bad...also been ported to DS, but it's exactly the same.

I'd say Jedi Power Battles also qualifies as a beat-em-up. That one was pretty good, but the Playstation version had terrible controls.

There's another game based on the prequels that's similar to Jedi Power Battles, but I don't remember what it's called, and it wasn't quite as good.

okay, first off im talking 3d ;). similer to soul Calibur IV, but you couldn't have lightsabers in soul calibur IV when you created your own charecter and there were only two charecters and tbh the story was a bit shuddy too ^^. anywho, me and my mate are actually starting on that, this thread was a con ;). i was robbing your ideas, now comply and give me more ;p.

Soul Calibur is a fighting game, not a beat-em-up. Is that what you meant?

I for one would LOVE to see Vader go up against Maul, to see who's truly the most bad-ass Dark Lord of the Sith! 8)

Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. 8)

Both are outstanding games. Academy is the sequel to Outcast and has some improvements to the same engine and extra cool stuff (ability to customize your Jedi character, option to use two sabers or a staff saber, etc). The multiplayer is great too, as there are still some dedicated servers and clans.

The lightsaber combat is unlike anything I've played before. It is really, really well done. Highly recommended.

The design is somewhat FPS-inspired and there are weapons besides lightsabers in the game, but they are quite superfluous. And the lightsaber duels are very unique and epic-feeling.

Academy came out in 2003 but is still a classic in my books. I still play it.
