This week Secret of Mana finally became available for download on Wii Virtual Console.

I'd like to take this time to now bask in the awesomeness that is this game.

*Begins basking*

Did someone say busking?

Alright. I'm gonna stand here and sing You Know My Name very badly, until someone throws me coins to go away.

Sorry, only Mana game I've played was Sword of Mana, and I didn't actually like it that much, sorry.

Sorry to burst your innocence bubble, but Secret of Mana (along with every other retro game in existence) has been available for download in multiple dark and scummy corners of the internet for at least three years.

@ Quatermass - do yourself a favour and get it for your fave SNES emulator. It rocks FAR more than Sword Of Mana :)

yea the way it breaks down is Secret of Mana = awesome. every other Mana game sucks.

and Secret of Evermore doesn't count because it didn't have "Mana" in the title.

At least ;)

The ROM scene was already fairly established by the time I encountered it back in 1998.

Back then there were a whole lot more ROM sites, but it was also a whole lot messier...emulators barely worked, almost every ROM was a bad dump, etc. etc. It was pretty exciting times to find out about translations and things like that, but it's funny to think that consoles have better emulation than that these days.
