I just got the NDS Castaways yesterday and am hooked. I never would have thought it would be this much fun and addictive because its basically like running in circles but I can't put the dang thing down. I'm staying up till 3am playing it!

Anyone else hooked? Anyone know how to harvest the rice plant? Also is there a glitch in the system with the peachtree man because I shook peaches out of the tree instead of making a ladder and then tried to deliver the items but instead my guy "John" just talks about bananas and pisses off the peachtree man. Is peachman autistic because he acts like it?

I played The Sims 2 on Nintendo DS when I was 21 and I played it all the time until i beat it. There was also this glitch. Whenever I opened a menu in one of the files, the game would freeze. Certain things in the game would make the whole game freeze and I would have to turn it off and turn it back on again.

It sure taught me some body language because you had to do certain things when you comfort someone. You had to read their body language and select your body language. But sadly that was all fake. It was Sim body language.

You have to have a good relationship with the peach guy. This is the same with the other characters. The friend page is the bottom tab of the book thing (I think). If the relationship is green it is ok, but if it is red you need to improve.
You have to be friends with them in order for them to accept the items. But don't talk to them or you're character will say something mean.
To build the relationship with the peach man, give him some gifts, such as food. But be careful as he will only accept certain gifts.

As for the rice plant, water it with the cup thing. and eventually it will be ready to grow. this is the same with other plants aswell.

Hope this helped!

I have watered the rice. Its reading to harvest but apparently I don't have the tool to harvest or cut it. I have a hachet but it won't let me use that. I've been stuck the past two days and haven't found any more people or the route to the third island. I've finally made friends with the Peach man which I know know is the Chef. However fishing and gathering to please him is wearing out my character, named John. I desperately need the knife and need to make a fishing pole and thread. I found a weird glitch in the system, well I should say I got a bizarre message so the programming has a bug. I wish someone else here was playing Castaways!

Sims 2 Castaways is a different game from the regular Sims 2.

Castaways can be played forever too by refusing to be rescued; you can just stay on the island. The rescue is slow in coming anyway. I've had the "SOS" put out on the beach for a week and its just causing someone to drop suitcases with a parachute attached that contain weird items.

I did all the quests and stuff I remember and then I was done. There was nothing else to do. It was repeats. I even used the walk through to play it.
