We've now got the XBOX 360, we're still not allowed to play it, and the games we've got for it so far are:

Halo 3
The Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion
EA Skate

Half Life 2: The Orange Box
Portal
Team Fortress 2
Half Life 2
Half Life 2: Episode 1
Half Life 2: Episode 2

Viva Pinata
Gears of War 2
Lego Indiana Jones

We should be getting a few more some time soon but I'm really looking forward to it! :D

Edit: I'm gonna put in the full list.

Oh, and the Orange Box is five games in one, basically a Box Set...

I'd get a 360 if I were you, the online play is alot better, the controller is much more comfortable, it's about £100 cheaper than the PS3, ect, ect, ect...

The only issue with the 360 is the Red Ring of Death.

Can you still get the red ring of death even with the fans that Microsoft put in it?

The 360 is fun though a great deal of the games are fairly mature, their are some good games for younger people though. Viva pinata is pretty good, many gamers would think it sucks, but a many have gotten addicted to it, and it is pretty moraly sound, except for maybe tones simular to this comic.

Is it a major enough issue not to want to buy it?

No, I wouldn't say that, If you feel unsure it could be worth buying a a two or three year warranty, that is when most people normally get the red ring of death...

We have both the Xbox360 and PS3. I'm not huge into console gaming because mostly I just play MMO's now, however I do like the Atlus games for the Playstation line (Disgaea and the rest).

On the PS3 I occasionally play PixelJunk Monsters which I think is a $9.99 downloadable game, but I like simple puzzle games like that.

Mostly I use them both for movies. My PS3 plays Blu-Ray which is great, and my Xbox 360 plays Netflix movies by just downloading them, so I don't have to wait to return if I really want to watch another movie right away.

The waranty also resets every time you get the red ring aswell, and three years is pretty good warranty.

Ok now thats a bit of a relief. Is there anything similar for the PS3?

And gismo, I know I'm a Prince of Persia nut, but I would recommend it...

It looks like a good game, I've played both Prince of Persia One and Two, and they looked pretty good.

Although One was very frustrating due to it being puzzle based a bit of the time, and I found myself helplessly wondering round a level with no idea what to do... Is this new one pretty much action based, or?

TESIV: Oblivion is a game that is far better on the PC because of the user mod community, which is not allowed to distribute mods for the 360... the only mods on the 360 are the official Bethesda mods that you have to pay for...

I'd get it for PC, except I prefer Controller gaming and our computer isn't powerful enough, we learnt that when we played Test Drive Unlimited on the old one.. It kept turning off and the battery went dead...
