I got it a few days ago, started playing it, It's a fantastic game, the graphics are pretty decent, the car selection is utterly huge!. And best of all, It's a free roamer!

So then, I like it, I haven't got that far through, I've got 2 cars, an Audi TT Quattro Sport, and a Lotus Elise, which I bought due to my Audi being utterly terrible at cornering. I like it quite a bit, though there are a few floors.

You can't use wheelspin or smoke your tires before you start, due to the car doing it for you... I've never seen a car do that.

The speeds are incredibly unrealistic, honesly, you can go at about 70 Mph and it feels like you're going 40. Unrealistic or what!

When you try and bring up the satnav when it claims you have the police on you it says something like "You cannot quit to the GPS because you are currently in a chase". The only condition you ever get the police on you is when you get three badges on the top screen, so technically, you are not 'In a chase'

Another issue with the police, is that they only come after you if you crash, so yeah, "I've been doing 150 miles an hour in a modified Lamborghini, the cops won't come because I didn't crash..." :o

I've been enjoying it alot, despite it freezing a little, and the fact my cornering is terrible, It's still a good game, the options when buying a car are amazing, and the inside view of being in the car is fantastically good.

I was wondering due to the fact you can start a 'Club' that people can join, I was wondering if anybody knows any Aspie clubs, because I've been looking for friends and I haven't found any.

Also, what do you guys think of this game?

Is it really? I might have to check it out.

I always liked Test Drive 3 a whole lot, because you could just drive around the scenic countryside if you wanted to...and it had changing weather =) It was scripted, but still pretty cool...you had to turn on your headlights when the sun set, and turn your windshield wipers on when it rained or snowed.

All the ones after that were boring, generic, closed-course racers

Crud, no demo =/ Sounds fun, though...I might have to find a less legitimate way to try it out... ¬_¬

It's pretty good, I don't think it rains or snows, mainly because It's set in Oahu, Hawaii. So there isn't much bad weather.

Also, as I said, the inside view of the car is awesome... ^

I've played it a little more, and taken a look at the car showrooms, they're incredibly spaced out, and driving to places is quite a bore, especially with the Sat-Nav... "At the next intersection. Turn, Right.", "You are going in the wrong direction. Please turn around" It really gets on my nerves quite a bit.

The radio stations are good, my favourite of which is Sweet Radio, which mostly plays Jazz, and stuff. The other one's are either Dance, Rock Dance(It's got the Stone Roses!) Metal, and Middle of the Road Rock.

The online play is extremely good, though staying in a party is extremely difficult, and you need to organize places to meet up if you get lost. Also, it gets pretty annoying when you are challenged to races as a Noob in an Audi by a guy in a Ford Mustang..

It's fairly good value for money... I got mine for £14.99, which is a very good deal for a game that's that good. It's a little old but it's still a good game..

I can't play racing games in cockpit view mode. Dunno why, maybe it's because it feels like you've got blinders on...I have enough trouble driving real cars that way.

I'm hoping they fixed one of the main annoyances from TD3, where if you bumped into anything, even very lightly, you wrecked your entire car and lost a life :x

Anyway, I've got it downloaded, I'll have to check it out later tonight.

Nope, there are no lives down and no damage done to cars. Also, if you press back, it makes you appear directly on the road where you spun out.

PM Me your Gamertag if you buy it and we can race. :D

Hmm, it's okay, but I was expecting it to be a bit more realistic, I guess...or at least better graphics for such a recent game o_O

Driving around randomly is pretty fun (I did like 600 miles along the coast last night), but it won't let me actually play the game. After you buy a car, it tells you to go to this point to do a race...I go there, it takes me to a different screen. I have to press enter on "single player", can't use the mouse...then it says "Rules" and shows a list of prizes, and doesn't let me click on rules or anything (it's all grayed out). So I click "Start" and it just sits there, staring at a spinning empty road...I can press escape and click "quit" and that's about it. Tried reinstalling it, running it with and without the patches, and nothing worked. Oh well.

Anyway, it's a neat idea, but Idunno how long it would entertain me for...definitely would be fun to mod, but I suppose that's more of an FPS thing than a racing thing =(

You need to download the patch that fixes this glitch, it's called v1.66A.

gismo: You are 10, sometimes when you drive going at a speed can seem slower than what it is. With your cornering, I would suggest trying a new approach, maybe you are going to fast or your entry is wrong. I find this harder to do on automatic cars. Oh, and bumper view for the win. If I have in car view it HAS to be RHD or have the ability to move my head for a wider pan

I tried it with and without the patch, didn't make a lick of difference =/
