Okay so who else has played this game? At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it because Sims 2: Pets was a letdown for me. But it turns out that I enjoy SimAnimals because it's so simple and very cute. The first time I tried playing the game bad things happened, like the cat was running amok and eating all of my squirrels and mice! Also, every time I tried to plant carrots, a rabbit would come up and eat all of them. Then, when I helped the beaver build the dam, the resulting lake killed all the maple trees and I had none to plant in Dry Gulch so I had to restart the game from the beginning.

This time, however, everything is running very smoothly. I made friends with the cat when I found out that she likes to eat buttercups, so I fed her those and now she doesn't kill as many mice. It was also pretty cute when I saw that one of my crows made friends with a mouse instead of eating him. I was also able to plant a very large patch of carrots; plenty to go around! I think it's really making a difference that I'm taking my time in each area instead of rushing around trying to do everything at once. It also kinda helps that I know what to expect in each area so I stock up on all the plants and critters I need before going there, lol. I can't wait to unlock the wolves - I'm going to try to make it like my Zoo Tycoon games where I breed the wolves continuously and make a giant wolf pack!
