Hey there, I came to this forum to see if anyone ever plays Dungeons and Dragons or GURPS? I came to the hobby at 19, and while I sometimes have trouble following what's going on, I certainly enjoy meeting up with gaming groups.

Anyone?

It probably would help to give a location if your trying to meet a gaming group.

I'm a huge board game fan. Euro and Ameritrash alike.

I play.

We've been trying to get a D&D campaign going, but we start so late, I keep falling asleep during it =/

DnD 2.0 is cool...after that it seems like they tried to oversimplify things. I'm more of a Palladium RPG fan myself(Not to be confused with one of Palladium's many other tabletop rpg systems such as Rifts or Heroes)

All games are board games. Isn't Chess a game of war? It's just that with the computer age, most games are put on computer so parts don't get lost... and a few other things, but hey ... :)

There's something to be said about tabletop RPG's.... There's just something awesome about a game where any scenario you can imagine can happen. ANYTHING is possible(with a natural 20 lol). Games like chess and the like are good fun, but games like that are defined by their rules. Games like DnD and Palladium RPG are almost defined by their lack of rules. I mean sure... if you wanna do everything perfectly by the book, then yeah there's plenty of rules, but theres plenty of room to work around them. Plus, very few people actually follow every single rule perfectly. Rules were meant to be forgotten...
