Zelda Fanatics Unite
Image

Here is the place for all people totally crazy about the the zelda series can discuss aspect of the game.

Enjoy!

Today I was working on some new fan art - This time of twinrova. It looks ok, but i've done better. My fav fanart to draw is the darklink/link battle, and in depth detail of link collecting items in the games.

I'll try and upload some in the near future. :D

edit: Why don't the font and center tags work?

A video game character that first appeared in 1986 who's fame is on par with that of mario, pit fall harry, pac-man, and a few select others.

Not exactly, Zelda isn't the one who is popular. Link is the star of the show, some Zelda games don't even have Zelda in them... :o

I am a big fan of the games, they are near video game perfection. My favorite is Link To The Past. But to my shame I haven't picked up The Minish Cap yet for the GBA, looks to be a great game.

Here is a question, out of the whole zelda series what is your favorite dungeon?

My personal favorite is the ice temple in Link to the Past, its challenging and fun. And very long.

Long live Princess Zelda and Link, the Hero of Time, and may all of the Legends of Zelda be remembered here!

I have just gotten on WP after replaying the ending of Majora's Mask for the third time. It's quite fun actually, and the story itself lets you do a liitle bit of soul-searching. I can understand why the made getting the Fierce Deity's Mask so hard, 'cause that practically makes the final boss - the three incarnations of Majora's Mask - easier than the first boss, the masked jungle warrior Odwala. I'm not kidding. As soon as i see Majora's Mask coming toward me, i slip on the Fierce Deity's Mask, lock on and let my sword charge, and ZOOM!! let an energy disc fly to stun it. Then, i run up to it and SLASH!! give it a taste of what the powers of darkness can do in Link's hands! same goes for Majora's Incarnation (Majora's Mask w/ arms, legs and a head) : Simply hit it w/ energy from my sword, trip it up, and put an end to it running around like a d*** chicken. As for Majora's Wrath (Majora's Incarnation, only stronger and w/ whips for arms), all i got to do is wait for it o raise a whip to flog me, then ZOOM!! HYAAA!! SLASH!! ! Good-bye, Majora's Mask, and Good-bye to that huge lunar body trying to crush Termina ino oblivion! Not bad for three day's work, eh? (Of course i did go back in time several times, so it isn't really 3 days.) Of course this is one of my favorite games, and i never get tired of it, even though Zelda does not play a part in the game (except as a flashback that helps Link remember the Song of Time). Not to mention the fact that the music department couldn't have made a better battle song for fighting Majora's Wrath. Now that is cool!

Hoping to return to Termina very soon...

P.S. I know how to beat Dark Link in OoT! You have to use the Biggoron's Sword! I did it and beat him in less than a minute!

I haven't had the chance to play all the games.. but out of the ones i've played: Ocarina of Time's Water temple.

I don't know if i've tried that one yet, but the hammer is very efficient if you don't want a hardout sword fight.

Who are everyone's favourite characters in the games?

In Majora's mask, mine is Kafei, and in OoT; Nabooru. TWW; Tetra, Makar and Mila.

Hmm, they're all so good, I'll have to say Spirit temple OoT.

Who else is excited about the new unamed Zelda? The best Zelda site there is, the Odyssey of Hyrule , has secret screenshots that wern't supposed to be released.

By the way, does anyone know what happen to www.htloz.com?

I dunno.. I guess they just went down.

The spirit temple is awesome, too. Twinrova is one of the coolest bosses i've ever played against.

Iron Knuckles are fun too, very fun. I love the two Iron Knuckles right before Ganondorf.

Iron Knuckles are great in OoT.

The parry attack is one thing that really ruined the windwaker. Really.

I'd probably have to go with OoT's Spirit Temple, Since it is practically the shortest and has a great boss battle. I just wish that they had put the Mirror Shield to better use in MM...

Speaking of boss battles, what's your fave? It can be from any game, and any type of boss (Mini, Minor, & Major) from any game, but it has to be a boss (Meaining that it is a unique, powerful enemy you fight once or twice and never see it again.) or, if you want, you can select your least favorite...

here's my list...

Mini Boss: Dark Link (OoT) VERY HARD unless you know the secret to his demise, like i do...

Minor Boss: Twinrova (OoT) Kinda cool, what with the way the Mirror Shield is used to absorb and reflect back energy at the boss(es)

Major Boss: Majora's Mask, Majora's Incarnation, & Majora's Wrath (MM)
I love this part! For one, the battle music is really cool. Second, Majora's Incarnation is superfreakyweird! Third, you get to see link's final transformation... Demon Link!! He's just like Adult Link from Oot, except he wears a bluish-white tunic with some body armor, his eyes are white w/ no pupils, and he has war paint on his face, NTM his new sword, which is as large as Biggoron's Sword, has 2 blades twisted together to make an infinity sign, and can shoot energy discs if you are Z-targeting (at the cost of 1MP, of course!). The mask that link uses to transform into Demon Link basically contains all the powers of shadow that MM has, except that it can be used for good, whereas MM takes control of the wearer and forces it to do only evil. Cool, eh?

I think it had a fantastic use in MM... but I have to admit it looked hideous, the OoT one was divine.

Oh... Now this is my kind of question. :D

Mini: Ocarina of Time's Iron knuckles. Fantastic. Fighting staflos in the spirit temple as young Link.
Majora's Mask: Fighting the caged poe sisters for a piece of heart.

Minor: OoT: Darklink.
Forest temple staflos for the fairy bow.
Majora's Mask: That Bubble eye thing in Great bay temple.. really fun.
That Bat poe thing In Ikana temple.
Phantom Ganon from The windwaker.

Major: OoT: Phantom Ganon
Twinrova - One of the best bosses i've ever encountered.
Ganondorf

MM: I didn't really enjoy many of the major bosses of this game.

TWW: I haven't beaten Ganondorf Yet, so I don't know.

Bosses I really didn't like:

MM: Fending those Aliens off the ranch. Goht- too easy and boring. MM- just a plain disappointment.

OoT: Vovolga - boring. Ganon - Boring.

TWW: Most of the head dungeon bosses sucked.

Majora's Mask -
Favourite transformation

Zora Link. So useful.

Favourite Mask

The moons mask. And I absolutley LOVED the Kafei and Anju side Quest. Majora's Mask is a wonderful, wonderful game.

I also loved the Ikana temple beyond reason.

The hammer is just as easy if not easier to beat him with than the biggoron's sword.

Exactly what is the moon's mask? i can only think of two: the Couple's Mask, which was the combination of Kafei's Sun Mask and Anju's Moon Mask, and the Fierce Deity's Mask, which is found on the Moon.

As for Dark Link, i tried the hammer, but he always jumped away 'cause i couldn't swing it quickly enough. i defeated him quickly with the BS, though. I think my record is 59 1/2 seconds between the time the battle tune started to the time he fell...

My bad, I never got into zelda. RPG's were not my thing. I was more of a side scroller fan.

The only exposure I ever had with a zelda game was in June 1992 at a party one of my dad's friends had thrown. His ten year old son was playing it and I was watching intently. I was more interested in his video games despite the fact he wanted to go outside and enjoy the atmosphere, but I didn't want to becasue there were too many people outside.

Sadly this was the last time I ever saw him. Eight years later he commited suicide.

The Moon's Mask is a mask that cannot be worn, but it it the piece that fits Kafei's Sun's Mask. You see it With Anju's wedding dress in the last 5 hours.

Using the hammer you have to make him drop his guard first. It's hard to get that first swing out, as he mimics your use with the sword. He won't bring down his sword until after the first time you get him with the hammer. After that, it's just so easy it's not worth playing.. can be done in about 30 seconds.
