Your body is a good part of what you are. Nothing to be ashamed of.

I think that women should be allowed to go topless in public, but only in war zones for the purpose of distracting the enemy momentarily while our soldiers shoot them (the enemy, not the topless women). (Okay, maybe I don't really think this. But it could work! Hey, "war is hell" -- you do what you have to to win!)

if you make boobies "normal" and not sexual, what fun are you going to have when you have sex with your wife?

It's legal for women to go around topless in Ontario (Canada), but it is rare that any women ever use that liberty.

Mystery, I really don't think that many women would and if you saw it at all - it would be some old lady in her 70's. That's the kind of thing I've heard from a lot of places where its already been legal for a long time.

Unless it's a teen with a fetish for Exhibitionism. 8O

Nah, she'd do it once, have some seriously dirty rednecks licking their lips at her and saying things like "I'll give you some ---...so is your man ----ing you right?" - they'd get over their exhibitionism quick.

Don't tell me you actually believe that, if so it shows an amazing amount of ignorance regarding BDSM. :hmph:

Well, I guess I kinda wanted to veer away from some of the even more unsavory consequences - things I can't imagine anyone being into. Even if a girl was completely messed up and sexually abused as a kid I still don't think she'd like being pulled off somewhere, having a train run on her, and of course running pretty good odds of getting killed as well. So, I think the odds are pretty good that you wouldn't have too many women who know the risks they run by showing too much off wanting to go toward those situations, maybe in a *safe* environment but that's still pretty close to privacy and pretty close to where she'd know everyone involved and knew that the degree of future risk from it is minimal - these are things any woman is stuck considering and thinking about, BDSM or otherwise.

in Canada we can go topless. The law was changed a couple years ago, mostly for the right of nursing mothers to breastfeed in public without fear of legal ramifications.

In the whole of the world, breasts are not sexual organs. Only in North American and a few western European countries are breasts thought of in a sexual way. Everywhere else, you see women on buses, in markets, in churches, in universities, at work, with bare breasts. They are for the sole purpose of providing food for the newest generations.

There are a few countries who have declared all of women's physical attributes to be covered due to religious laws, and which work in protection of women. But if you travel worldwide, you will come face to face with breasts of all ages and sizes and colours. It is primarily the hips and buttocks that are sexualized in most countries and cultures, which is after all where the power of women's sexuality lies.

For some reason, it seems like the majority of the naysayers are men, who fear that some of the boobies might not be worth gawking at.

I think its more about the fact that most people just don't want to see much of anyone over 60 with their shirts off. Not to be hard on the elderly but its just not easy on anyone's eyes and I'd have a hard time imaging that won't be true of me or anyone else here when they hit their 60's and 70's.

On the other hand, lets hypothetically say that a woman in her 20's or 30's is breastfeeding in a public place. Its the kind of thing where people instinctively know they aren't supposed to look, the second you even catch something like that out of the corner of your eye you feel like you need to turn your back and don't even want to engage that whole 180 degree field of vision on that side of you, at all. It pretty much makes you feel like you're walking along and you just accidentally walked into someone else's bedroom or walked into the wrong locker room at the local gym. The way people would get irritated about that I think is real comparable to when you have a person talking at the grocery store check out about extremely personal issues or you have a couple making out in line at a take out restaurant. The other two things aren't illegal, maybe women topless in the U.S. shouldn't be either, but none of the above are specifically tactful. Guys in public places, while legally allowed to be out topless, the norm still applies of - no shirt, no shoes, no service.

As long as there's no medical complications that make breasts project milk of questionable consequence, then I don't see why not.

Yeah, not many ladies in their sixties are lactating any more.

I think they've got a perfectly good right to do so if they wish to, providing they're adult enough to accept that there might be consequences as a result of it that they might not like so much.
